It has something to do with the passport I know that for sure. It was fine this morning when I saw it.. Does that mean NVC is reviewing my documents and that's why it changed to FNU because in the Passport my husband's full name is under Given Name?

yes... did you husband obtained passport long time ago ? .. in the old days they usually list all name in given name... but for US visa they will take the whole name as last name and will list FNU (First name Unknown).. if you go forward you will get visa issued as Lastname, FNU.. means you have FNU as first name.. you can google it.. many of the indians faced the same issue..

he need to contact nearest passport office. They might reissue or split the name in to surname and given name

Believe it or not I've followed everyone on the list before me and keep checking this forum to see if anyone messages about a CC. I think I seriously need :help: or a CC...Hopefully the latter :D

I hate that Saylin's excel sheet isn't being utilized to it's full potential...with that I would never have to keep trolling around this place in search for the next CC.

...hint hint, wink wink.... ;)

Hello Vjers

just wanted to ask a question:

My husband sent off the AOS and IV package to NVC on the 7th November, he received an email on the 18th November sayin that they received the packages on the 14th November and it explained the whole 60 days thing. but yesterday they sent a email again saying that they received our package on December 4th and it basically explained the whole 60 days thing as the first email had.

Is that something we need to be worried about? should we call them?

I would call to ask why you received two emails and then confirm with them what your actual received/scan date is because depending on the date they consider as your received date, the 60 day countdown begins from there and there is a big difference from 11/14 to 12/04.

 God's timing is always perfect. . . :star:"Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!" (Luke 1:45) ^_^

unfortunately pregnancy is not a reason for nvc to expedite the case. therefore I am afraid there is nothing you can do to speed up the process.

Don't be worry, everything is going to be alright ! (F)

it depends on the embassy and how many interviews they have scheduled and maybe on some other factors I have no idea about.. some people wait 2 weeks while others 4,5,6.. once you have interview date you can contact your embassy and ask for change of it.

Good luck ! :star:
