Just checked the NVC site and my AOS has changed to N/A but the IV still shows PAID. Does this mean case complete?? My last scan date is 10/14 for a checklist

Oh that is the best news I have had this week! That sounds like a CC! That means they have finally hit double digit October dates (even if it was a checklist)! Congrats

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find the answer for the life of me.

the 60 day AOS..... is it 60 business days or a general 2 months from acceptance at the NVC?

I got my receipt at NVC October 8th..... so when can I expect news of any kind?

60 calendar days,I guess you can expect news soon :star:

i-864

------

In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Item 5. You must enter your current individual annual income. This means the amount of money you expect to earn

during the current calendar year.

Since my wife is doing MBA and she isn't earning anything we checked the box "Unemployed Since:" and we kept the "My current individual annual income is:" field empty. Are we supposed to explicitly put 0.00 in this field?

ohh you shouldn't leave it blank - You expect she will make 0.00 $ so that is what you should write there.

-------

My brother in law is the household member sponsoring me and we got a checklist in i-864a form too:

Part 1 Information on the Household Member

[x] This section is incomplete. Please answer all questions completely. (If N/A, please indicated in the

appropriate space).

Now, except the "place of residence" everything is filled. We left it blank because it is same as the mailing address. Do we still need to write the same address again that we mentioned in mailing address?

YES

Good luck ! :):star:

Has anybody gotten CCs with both their birth city/town and state/province as N/As. I just talked to a rep and he said to resend everything but I was hoping I can get away with both as N/As. My third time :((((

This is scary, I'm confused as to why you got checklisted 3 times! If the first time they tell you what was wrong, you sent the fixed issue, why get more checklists????

Hello! I got the dreaded checklist today...

My mistake was that I put the "wages, salaries, tips" total instead of the total income

"In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal

income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead."

I see my mistake BUT because that # is wrong for the for the most recent tax year that means so is "Part 6: 5 current individual annual income" AND "Part 6: 10 current annual household income" because they are all affected by the same total income # BUT the checklist only recognizes 1 of those 3 incorrect numbers...I feel like I shouldn't change anything on the forms that they didn't checklist but if it doesn't match it is incorrect...OH WHAT TO DO!?!

Plus, I realize now that I put the "wages, salaries, tips" total instead of the total income on all 3 most recent tax years, but I only included the tax return transcript for 2013 so many that's why the other 2 years didn't get a checklist? but now I know they are incorrect as well!

I'm not sure If I should follow a "don't volunteer information they didn't ask for" approach or include some kind of letter explaining this?!? but something tells me i might be a bad idea to say too much! I just want to make sure I do this right or else I'll be so stressed for ANOTHER 60 days!

I'D BE SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR HELP!

Unless you're self-employed, the questions on current annual income aren't based on previous years' tax information. That's based on how much you're making right NOW. Proof of such is in pay stubs and an employment letter.

If you put the wrong amount in the other 2 years, I'd fix the numbers. Mention in the cover letter that because of the checklist, you also discovered the other 2 years were wrong as well. You may want to provide tax information for those two years as well.

My husband suggests to unlink our cases and go my interview first, but i am not sure if it does us any good.

I need some help for my parents' AOS.

AOS Scan date August 13th

IV scan date September 22nd

AOS checklist scan date only for my father October 31st

Just received checklist dated on November 26th,

now they asked my mother's AOS.

Well, I did not know I have to fill in 2 separate I-864 for father and mother until now.

On August, for my mother, I sent them copy of AOS under name of my father.

Ok, I can fill in I-864 under name of my mother and send them now.

However, the problem is that I am out of country until January and do not have any supporting documents like w2 or tax form with me.

The question is;

"Do I have to send supporting documents for my mother's AOS?

In spite of NVC has those documents for my father's case. "

My father's case is still pending and awaiting to be reviewed October 31st checklist.

AOS was paid only for my father's case.

I just called NVC and

one of representative said I have to send supporting documents too.

You can get tax transcripts online for free and available to download right away.

Saylin i need your help. We got married December 21,2013. When my husband filed tax return, he wrote down single. We got a case complete and no checklist. Im worried if i need to bring ammended tax during the interview. I might have an interview schedule in January and irs website says that processing of ammended tax takes up to 12 weeks. If i dont bring that during my interview, will i get denied??
