So I am not sure the validity of the claim (you know how NVC reps sometimes can be deceiving) - But this is for all of those who are stuck at the IV pay bill phase of the NVC. Apparently 2 weeks back (according to the rep) there was an error with the IV Bill opening up in the portal and it affected all of those who were paying their fees.

This was from a forum user (Sofiwaits) and she said the rep told her that they were working on all those affected and they won't do anything until after that 42 days pass.

I am sorry for those affected (if this is actually true) - it's always a wondering game if this is how it actually happened but I did see a lot of posts about the IV fee not being unlocked and thought that this might give a little insight as to why the delay with the portal opening.

Good Luck and hope it opens soon for all of you!

Hey guys, I'm finally here at NVC stage. :goofy:

Submitted our DS-261 few hours ago and we can see the "pay now" for both fees, however, when we tried clicking on it, we were redirected to the sign in page again. Just wanna know if it's normal?

Thanks in advance (L)

Finally my I-130 arrived to NVC yesterday, so I will start this whole process soon hopefully. They told me case nymber assignment now takes 3-4 weeks, so my case number will be available on Dec 23-30 range. Every week the delay for every part of the process is just getting bigger. It's like they worked fine for decades and now in 2-3 month they've got slammed with cases unexpectedly?

Well, if you are being told 3-4 weeks, then they are making progress. My case was received by NVC on 11/12, we were told 42 days. Last time I called to check was Monday evening and still nothing. Although, this rep did say it is currently being entered. Whether that is the truth or not, who knows! When I ask him when I should check back since it is being entered, he then gave me the generic response of, "it can take up to 42 days." Lol!

I think it's time I take a break from calling, I have been obsessing over this whole stupid process and I am just exhausted. If things haven't already been complicated enough, yesterday my grandfather was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder to top everything off. Obviously, these people have no understanding of the meaning expedite.
