just called NVC few min ago. After being on hold for long i thought i was going to get a hope. Unfortunately not! The rep told me that they have recived the package but it will take 60 days for it to be reviewed. The rep also said that my DS260 has been reviewed and looks good. Okay here is where i am puzzeled. Looks good? i hope she meant the review is completed. I then asked her if it was possible to speak to an supervisor she told me to hold another few min . After holding I spoke to the supervisor she was helpful i asked her if she can expidaite my case? She said yes i can tell you how to but its not under my control. She told me to email the embassy and request for an expidaite.

DS260 is reviewd so it means IV is reviewed? which is what?

DS260 is the online form. Meaning that looks good to them (it's submitted into their system and it shows they have received it). So they are confirming they have received your checklist and it will take 60 days from the scan date (hopefully sooner!)...

Expedite is something all different that she is talking about - that's if you have a serious situation that if you don't get to the US faster it will be life or financially threatening (and other reasons too, but you get the jist). She was just saying she can tell you about the expedite process but can't make your checklist go any faster.

Hope that helps!

Well, maybe not case complete: if the N/A is where the "Paid" tab is supposed to be, then it's a CC, but if its next to it, that means they haven't reveiwed your case yet.

Hang in there! Ive been waiting forever also. We are in the home stretch now. I can't wait to be with my wife. The real head scratcher is why are Fiance visas processed so much faster than marriage visas. It makes no sense whatsoever other than economic sense. Just my $.02.

Good luck to everybody.

scan date October 14.

Fiance visas are not considered immigrant visas. They don't go through the AOS and the IV stages until after arrival in the US. Our wait is longer because we go through all of that prior to the issuance of our visa and arrival into the US.

After nearly a year, we are finally done with this process!! My husband had his interview in Sydney yesterday and said it was a breeze and he was approved on the spot! Woooooo!!! Thank you to everyone here for their support, help, and heart. We did this without a lawyer and because of Visa Journey, we had no hiccups or checklists what so ever. Best of luck to all those still waiting, your turn will come (and it feels SO good!). Happy Holidays everyone :)

Special thanks to Salin for her attention to detail, organization, patience and dedication to helping all those going through this heart-breaking process. Your wiki and posts were life savers and we really couldn't have done this without you!

K1 visa applicants still have a package 3 they have to submit directly to the embassy (after their case has arrived there from NVC), which contains a lot of the same information and documents as the AOS and IV packages. But I'm guessing the embassy is quicker in reviewing it and don't issue checklists like NVC does.

It seems like the invoice processing stage has been a tad slow of recent weeks. We were allocated our case number and IIN on 11/10, submitted our DS-261 on 11/12, but only just received (and paid) our AoS invoice today (12/02) and are still waiting on our IV invoice. Still, NVC probably lost a few days over that time with Veterans' Day and Thanksgiving, so it's not too surprising. At least things are moving along.

Really hoping this month brings a lot of joy to a lot of deserving people. Stay positive everyone.

You don't have to wait for IV to be invoiced to send your docs, if you have them ready send it now - it will save you some time , I have seen people here doing it with no further problems from nvc, of course it is up to you :goofy:
