Hope you can share your thoughts..My scan date is October 14.And by the way you guys are way too lucky because I have waited for more than 6 years before I reached the case completion stage due to retrogression..=) feeling positive with all your inputs here

What does Scan date means?

Scan date is the date NVC enters your AOS/IV etc into their computer system. So it may arrive today and scanned into the system in two three days etc so you start your count down to the 60 day waiting period that way you can gauge when to call for any questions you may have or to see if it's accepted or not.

Much luck to you. @Soloenta

Hi guys, this is my 7th month at the NVC. I almost feel embarrassed to say. Even though it's not my fault it's their. My checklist scan date is Nov. 14. I just hope I get CC before Christmas! My original dream was to have my hubby here for Christmas, but since I know that is not possible , I pray for CC by Christmas! Let's all keep each other updated for any movements. I 'll keep all of you in my prayers :)

It seems like the invoice processing stage has been a tad slow of recent weeks. We were allocated our case number and IIN on 11/10, submitted our DS-261 on 11/12, but only just received (and paid) our AoS invoice today (12/02) and are still waiting on our IV invoice. Still, NVC probably lost a few days over that time with Veterans' Day and Thanksgiving, so it's not too surprising. At least things are moving along.

Really hoping this month brings a lot of joy to a lot of deserving people. Stay positive everyone.

I just wanted to point out that unfortunately Saylin's excel document that documents your visa progress has a huge gap between the end of September and then the end of October. No one with scan dates between the first two weeks of October are entered into her progress reports.

I have to promote her excel document - if you understand how to fill it out, then please do - When you are on this side of the computer, waiting for someone to get a CC or watching scan dates of fellow friends it's comforting to know that you can go to this excel document and really map out where NVC is at at the current moment. I'd rather be able to have a handy tool to look at than keep posting "What's the date NVC is on..." every time I sign onto the computer.

Perhaps this is just me, a gal who really likes data in her hands rather than in a jumbled mess of comments and helpful responses. Please, if you haven't filled out the form and understand the (easy) questions that she gives you, take a few minutes out to click the link at the beginning of this thread. You are not only helping out me, but plenty of others that utilize this data to figure out some sort of NVC sense.

...That is all - and thank you in advance who actually read this and help a gal out! :goofy:

I greatly approve this message :thumbs::thumbs:

Got checklist 3 weeks ago and no letter yet. Can I just send my corrected AOS without waiting my letter from NVC?

Hi, we got our checklist almost 2 weeks ago and no email yet for said reason have not resent the corrected AOS. But, if by Friday there is still no email I'll do overnight no matter what lawyer says. It was her fault anyway for the darn checklist. Will add letter to nvc indicating to remove attorney from our case.

Saylin, if you allow me,for peace of mind purpose, I'd like to ask for people who has their last scan dates between October 7 and 10 to just reply here. I've looked at your new 2014 spreadsheet and there's nobody there with those dates, so I wonder that's why this week will be apparently quiet for us here at VJ (few data to check the CCs..) and so we can breathe and believe tha people at NVC are working, even if we can't "feel" it.

Thank you and people from 7 to 10 Oct scan dates please show up. :)

I have scanned my AOS checklist on OCT 9, 2014. Sorry I'm not active anymore on this thread as I lost hope in the whole US immigration system/process. First it was USCIS who gave us really hard time of more than 1 year waiting and now its NVC 6 months waiting....

Hang in there! Ive been waiting forever also. We are in the home stretch now. I can't wait to be with my wife. The real head scratcher is why are Fiance visas processed so much faster than marriage visas. It makes no sense whatsoever other than economic sense. Just my $.02.

Good luck to everybody.
