My scan date was October 30th and I called the NVC today to check the status of my case. The operator told me that as of 11/26, my case was approved and will be forwarded to the embassy. I haven't received any e-mail or text. Is this normal?

Wow! That's great! Was that scan date for a checklist or your IV package?? Because that was fast!

You'll probably get and email from NVC a week or so after the real CC, so by this Thursday you might receive it.

Congrats on your case complete!

AOS Scan date: 11th Aug

IV Scan Date: 18th Sep

Called NVC 2 weeks back and the operator told me that I have made a mistake in i-864 form. Basically I missed few columns in i-864. Do I need to wait for NVC to send me an email detailing this or should I just send them the updated form again?

It was for my IV package. I didn't receive a checklist. I was really shocked when the operator said that it was already approved. I really anticipated waiting another month or so to hear anything. Maybe that's why I'm having a hard time believing it when I can't see the approval for myself online on the website or in an e-mail. Wish there was something I could see...Thanks so much for your help.

just called nvc, and was told different story, this time is they cannot find my police certificate, but i called several times last week, and they all told me they have a doubt on my overseas police certificate. one thing in commen is now my case is being reviewed by supervisor. i'm definitly sure that my attorney sent everything together in one package, how can they couldn't find it? this is really stress me out, you just don't know what should do next except endless waiting.

You could try requesting that NVC closes your case and you'll bring in the police certificate to the interview, but by the time they get to your other checklist response, and if they don't accept your request, it might just be faster to send in the certificate.

I tried that but it didn't fly they told me I have to mail it. Hope you have a better luck than me.

Hi,

We had a similar issue with i864 and we got a issue with aggregate and gross income despite checking it with NVC representative. We got to know about it n Friday last week, and we have sent the updated i864 as it is anyways going to take some time for you to get the new scan date from NVC and then another long wait. I would suggest that you send the updated i864 ASAP.

Saylin, if you allow me,for peace of mind purpose, I'd like to ask for people who has their last scan dates between October 7 and 10 to just reply here. I've looked at your new 2014 spreadsheet and there's nobody there with those dates, so I wonder that's why this week will be apparently quiet for us here at VJ (few data to check the CCs..) and so we can breathe and believe tha people at NVC are working, even if we can't "feel" it.

Thank you and people from 7 to 10 Oct scan dates please show up. :)

My scan date is October 10

We finally got CC today (2 December) with a scan date of 6 October. What a great and glorious day! I, a big burly guy, started crying on the phone with the lady from the NVC office when we called this morning. Filled with joy

Everyone that is still in the painful process - hang in there and stay strong! It can be so painfully dark and lacking in all hope, but it does get better.

Thank you all for this fantastic forum. Everyone is so supportive of one another. Knowing that wonderful people such as yourselves are coming to the United States is a very special and inspiring thing. We couldn't have waited as we did without checking this forum every single second for the past 7 months.

Thank you!!!

Yay! Congratulations.....I was wondering where all the CCs were at today. It's been slow today but at least we are starting to see some progress.

Thank you.

Chances are your case got completed a few days ago itself and you will know about it once you get a hold of NVC. Now its all about getting that interview appointment setup.

I called friday and was told to call back this week, I wasn't able to get through to NVC yday so I don't know what date the cc was for. I assume yday but it could i've been friday when I called.

Saylin,

Could you please help me with my situation...

I'm going to send I-864 with last 3 years (2011, 2012, 2013) of tax return transcripts.

However, I amended my 2011 tax return.

Therefore, my "total income" is out-of-date in "2011 tax return transcript" and "2011 tax account transcript" DOES NOT state modified "total income".

I need to state my "total income" in form I-864 since I used form 1040.

Which "total income" should I use and which transcript ("tax return" or "tax account") should I send as a proof ?

Thanks in advance
