Sorry playing catch up with these post. Did you clear it all up with them. They might just be confused or it could have been a mistake.

Thanks, its been cleared. I received checklist letter after having CC and interview date. NVC rep just told me to bring the needed document from checklist to the interview.

Okay sorry I said Red (I had the letters by the items in Red in first post. But I don't have the key what the letters mean here is the key.

And yes it is Case Compete so just fix and have ready when interview time comes.

code definitions are listed on page 3 of the interview letter:

Y / O >> NVC send the documents to consulate

C >> You should bring this for interview

F >> NVC did not request this document

R >> You submitted this application online

$ >> Fee paid online

Same situation here. Got checklist after P4 letter. I was told to bring the iterms from checklist to the interview.

Quick question - can someone explain the process of getting your passport back after the interview. I understand that you have to sign up for Loomis? And then do you provide a Canadian address to the consulate for them to ship your passport back to or can you pick it up from a DHL location?

Status changed from at nvc to in transit. After how much days will it arrive at embassy? Average time.

Could someone explain the point of tracking the file from NVC to the consulate? Do we have to do something after the file arrives at the embassy? Is it to expect the package sent out by the embassy via post?

I was under the impression that once the interview date is scheduled, we simply finish the medical and show up for interview with the appropriate documents.

I was under the impression that once the interview date is scheduled, we simply finish the medical and show up for interview with the appropriate documents.

It use to start honestly as just a game just to know it was there. Then some people wanted to be able to asked for an earlier date so they needed to know when their petition arrived at the embassy so they could send email and ask for an earlier date.

Otherwise there is no reason.

Looking at your status on http://ceac.state.gov/ is good enough. There really isn't any need to follow DHL.

Your status will say IN-Transit when NVC ships off You may never see it. But it will say READY and the Case Status will be Updated and you will know then you have arrived at embassy.

You will need to pick it up from the DHL location (you can chose DHL location during registration process for Loomis). But once DHL gets your package you can contact them and have it delivered to your house for additional $20.
