But I called Nvc and they told me that checking both boxes is counted as an error and that Nvc does accept forms with white out. God I m so confused what have I done

Seriously few things.. NVC staffs always not consistent.. you get a checklist depends on the case reviewer... Also you just passed NVC.. never going back there.. now its up to the consulate staff to accept it or not.. I think they will accept it...

Congrats!! That's exciting! We should call because our embassy is also Montreal and we had CC Dec 5th. When did they send you the cc email?

Hey Dwheels, Something weird just happened now. I already have my interview scheduled on January 20th and I have received P4 letter from NVC a week ago. Now today I just got email from NVC regarding my Police Clearance Certificate which I had send in IV package. Have you seen checklist after interview is scheduled and P4 letter is received? What do I do now.

I am going to call them right now and see If i can request them to allow me to bring another police clearance to interview.

Sorry playing catch up with these post. Did you clear it all up with them. They might just be confused or it could have been a mistake.

Finally got our interview date few hours back.Thnx to Almighty God...

Thanks to God almighty, hubby's visa was approved today.Ceac is showing Administrative processing.

CONGRATULATIONS. That is always good news out of Lagos. Wooo whooo. :joy:

You were approved. So it goes from Ready to Administrative processing. to Issued. within the next few days. Remember for Lagos its 5 business to make Visa. So next Thursday is pick up. What great news. really.

With all the AP, and Denials coming out this is really joyous. I have tears. But happy ones.

We have had our interview set for about two and a half weeks now (for January 23). We received the P4 email two weeks ago, and on Monday received another email directly from the Santo Domingo consulate regarding specific instructions for the interview there. That said, our VISA Status on the CEAC site still says At NVC. It never changed. Is this unusual??

Sure. Not all embassies have petitions sent to them right away. It's at their request. I am sure they are flooded and they will get them when they request. Some get their days before an interview. Don't worry it will get there.

Had my interview yesterday and we are approved!

Thanks to the many useful tips from the VJ community especially about having the W2 on hand, we avoided the dreaded 221g. Pick up is next Friday. God bless all who have shared their experiences and contributed to making this journey come to a successful end. Best of luck to all those who are still waiting for interview dates or actually waiting to interview.

My little concern however is that I forgot to update the Consular officer about the fact that my intending US address has changed so I emailed the Consulate this morning.

Just make sure that is told at POE and you also update on USCIS.gov and when you pay your fee on the ELIS system (where the green card comes. Very important they know when you POE).

I just recieved the package. Our joint sponsor had ticked 'I m a US citizen' in part 11a. But it's written that mark 'I'm a US national' (for joint sponsors) I have checked that box as well. Should I use a whito on 11a or is it ok if both boxes are checked?

Why not just have them fill out a new one for the interview if you are concerned. Looks better.

Just check the ceac website and now it shows IN TRANSIT ...... That means documents are on the way to the embassy right?

Thanks for sharing your news it motivated me to call them although I was doubtful about having an interview date already. We called NVC and our interview was also scheduled!!!! Woohoo! CC Dec 5th and Interview in Montreal on Jan 22 at 10:30 a.m. We are super happy. I was worried we wouldn't get a January interview.

Tracking number for what? There is no tracking number. If you read the first post I wrote about DHL and its posted many times DHL its a guesstimate that what you see going to the embassy is yours. That bundle could be K1's other I-130's petitions. That's why you need to pay more attention to the ceac website and focus on the in-transit and watch it then change to Ready. The DHL tracking is just a fun tool people got to do to pass the time. It's not an exact science by no means at all.

what about the waybill ? what is that? and how many days does it usually take after leaving us to reach the consulate ?
