Congratulations to those who got approved on their interview….

Ill have my interview on January 29, 2015. I’m wondering how long is the I-864 valid for. My husband submitted the AOS on 1st week of September. Should I ask him to send me new signed I-864 or the one he submitted is already good for the interview. I have the full copies of AOS package he sent to NVC.

Also, Police certificate here in UAE is valid only for 3 months but the packet 4 I received says that I only need to get new clearance if all the 3 below are true :

? Applicants may need to bring an additional police certificate to the interview. If the following three

items are all true, the applicant needs to bring an updated police certificate to the interview:

? He or she is more than 16 years old;

? He or she obtained a police certificate more than one year ago; and

? He or she still lives in the country that issued the police certificate.

My UAE clearance is dated Oct 8, 2014 ( and it mentions that validity is 3 months). Should I get new Police certificate?

Thanks in advance.

The I-864 is good until next tax season or if something changes between NVC sand interview otherwise nothing needs to be updated.

Example. Many people filed an extension well you had to October to file so those people would have had to have updated I-864 at interviews.

If you no longer live in the country you don';t need a new police certificate. If you still live there and its more than a year yes you need a new PCC.

Hi guys,

I recieved my P4 email today and I am a little shocked to see this line:

5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE : F

I had sent in my original marriage certificate in the NVC IV PAckage and I never recieved a checklist for the same.

But what i have learnt is that it means: " NVC did not request this document".

Any inputs?

Do you have a photo copy of the Original certificate.. at the consulate you need to provide copy of all the civil documents (if you already submitted original)... I think this one is a mistake from NVC.. if you have another original then bring it to the interview... also nowadays due to computer record keeping very easy and convenient to obtain Marriage certificates from urban affairs office

I do have a notarized copy of the certificate.

I hope it's just a mistake!!

And in India it's quite hard to obtain a new certificate. at least thats what i have heard :(

HEY DWHEELS, I have a question for you. Nothing to do with interviews but I knew I could catch you here. And maybe my question and your answer can help someone else.

So, We had our interview on July 15th. Since then our status on the CEAC is "refused" because we had to file the waiver ( the last date on CEAC being July 18, 2014.) So, the waiver date is Aug 22nd. We requested an expedite for the waiver and it was approved on Oct 15th. But it has been in review since then. We even called the USCIS a few times to make sure the expedite was really approved. The answer was yes every time. I made 3 inquiries with the senator's office and all came back saying it is still in review. Aside from being very frustrating, we are wondering what the heck could be the hold up. since the expedite approval there have been 5 updates on the CEAC website Nov 3 & 6 and Dec 1,3,&5.

It is my understanding that the USCIS (NSC) has nothing to do with the Dept. of State ( CEAC site) A friend of mine works for passport fraud in Virginia and Washington DC. She told me that they must be adding info to my case because that is the only way the date would update. I know, at the very least, it means someone is looking at our file but have you ever seen so many updates on the CEAC? I feel like so many strange things happened with my case throughout this whole process. We don't have a crazy unusual case. It was a simple overstay without any other issues. I was hoping you would know something about the CEAC and who has access and what it might have to do with the waiver? The senator's office told me the USCIS is communicating with the consulate in Costa Rica about the expedite but when I talked to the consulate, they have nothing in their file since July 18th. Any thoughts would be appreciated. XOXOXO

:blink: Sorry this is me. I really am in the dark when it comes to waivers and such.

Now since the expedite was approved you say October 15th than that should mean it should be ay NVC or consulate for another interview right? Lord these people. Why they got to make things so hard. Like if you need a waiver why can't a waiver be filed with the dang petition and be approved same time like  . Or is that too much like right.

Lord please let me run immigration at least USCIS and NVC they really need to be run TOGETHER in Tandem. This Lonewolf ####### got to stop now. Okay my vent is over. Thank you for listening. :ot2:

Don't worry about it they mis-label stuff all the time. Obviously they need it. Cuz if you didn't send it you would be check listed. You will get it back at interview.
