Help VJ!!!! There is no longer a panel doctor in my country where I reside!!!

My interview is scheduled for next month. I called the ONLY doctor, that was/is on the list of authorized panel doctors in my country (Aruba).

I was advised its been about a year since they have NOT been contracted to administer the immigrant medical exam, yet he is still listed on the usembassy.gov’s website.

I’ve sent the embassy an email but it might be days before I even get a reply. I can’t seem to find any updated list for my country and I’m lost at this point.

There is no US embassy in my country, so we already have to fly into another country to do our interview. I’m hoping we don’t have to fly to another country to do our medical, fly back home and then fly back again for our interview.

Any advice or help will be so appreciated.

I have a question

I received my interview appointment Dec 3 and the letter Dec 5. I was wondering why it says At NVC still when I check the status.

Yes, its because i have a PhD in sciences. Which i got in USA. Apparently since i left and came to canada and got visitors visa so i could go into the country 15 times in the past year and never needed a special check. but now that i applied for an immigrant visa…they are putting me through this. And it can take anywhere between 2 weeks to a YEAR!!! or longer. no way of knowing..department of state has to give me a clearance, I beleive. who knows when this will happen.

Marriage wise and all my civil documents including PCC all certificates...everything is in ORDER!!! everything. no problems.

Hi,

Don't be pessimistic. I am well conversant with this situation. I have a PhD in science too and have been issued a 221g every time I applied (a couple of times J-1 and once B-2) and I do hope it doesn't happen this time, but very unsure. This procedure is standard when it comes to the national security. Their assumption of "you are educated in science and hence have a huge potential to be nasty for their security" is a fair one. But I can assure you from my experience, that DoS acts promptly on their part and if you have records clear, you should have clearance usually within 3 weeks. Keep hope and enjoy a few more days home :).
