WORST DAY OF MY LIFE --- i was issued a 221 (g) after my immigrant visa interview. they want more additional processing on me…from MONTREAL CONSULATE>…. and its NOT BECAUSE OF my marriage or validity of it. Its because I have a PhD in sciences. YEAH….apparently I am too educated to be in the USA. funny i got my education there.:angry::girlwerewolf2xn::alien::wacko::o so more additional processing….strange…i have been going to the USA 15 times….in the last year…they never needed to do it then…and suddenly now they do.

it can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 year. YES!!! so i am giving up on going there. All i can do is get my spouse here. i submitted the paperwork they wanted from me but i don't have any hope it will work at all. i have seen how much time they can make you wait…this is truly disgusting.:cry::cry:

You will be fine once they check you out... So sad that good people have to suffer because of the bad ones.

Oh my god. This is horrible. I don't understand at all. This is because of your education?? wow. Obama waives his magical hand and 8 million illegals get to stay here, but they won't let in a well educated person married to a USC without additional processing. Un-freakin-believable ... :wow:

I'm so sorry to hear this. But maybe it will go faster than you think. hang in there!

Yes, its because i have a PhD in sciences. Which i got in USA. Apparently since i left and came to canada and got visitors visa so i could go into the country 15 times in the past year and never needed a special check. but now that i applied for an immigrant visa…they are putting me through this. And it can take anywhere between 2 weeks to a YEAR!!! or longer. no way of knowing..department of state has to give me a clearance, I beleive. who knows when this will happen.

Marriage wise and all my civil documents including PCC all certificates...everything is in ORDER!!! everything. no problems.

Hi dwheels76,

I'm not on this thread yet (pending CC). IF i were to get a CC by 12/15, do you think I could get a January interview for Ciudad Juarez, Mexico? I think the answer is "no" but just wondering what's your take on it. Thank you! I'm hoping to get CC by 12/15 if not, then to be in this thread by end of December :)

Review Topic: General Review

Had my interview today (December 8th 2014 @ 1PM)

Arrive around 12:20pm with my husband (The USC) was told to leave and come back at 12:50pm, we went across to the cafe called (Embassy Grill) had a coffee and then went back to the Embassy.

We were asked who was being interviewed, what type of Visa and then proceeded trough the airport style security. I had a minimal amount of things in my purse which included earphones, they took my keys, phone, earphones and lip balm and put them in a small locker and gave me the key. They allowed me to keep my purse with me and my folder of documents.

Was sent up a ramp to the building itself and was greeted by a very nice security officer, he asked again what visa type, immigrant or non-immigrant, we went sent to the immigrant waiting side. There were only 2 other people waiting so it went fairly quick. Got called up to the first window after waiting 10 minutes or so, asked for my medical results, passport and passport pics. Asked me if I had registered with the courier service and handed me back my X-ray results and told me to keep them on hand at all times through the airport when going through my POE. Guy we dealt with was very nice and happy. Was sent to sit down again and waited another 20-30 mins. Got called again to another window to a different guy who was also lovely to deal with. He looked through my documents and had all the original stuff I had sent to USCIS/NVC and made casual conversation to my husband about food being better in America and spoke about how he missed real deep dish Chicago pizza!lol

He then proceeded to ask:

*Why we want to move to the USA
*What my husband plans to do for work in America
*What I plan to work as
*What our current jobs are
*Who our joint sponsor was

It was all done in a very casual manner and the guy was a pleasure to deal with.
We were given back the original photographs I sent in with our I-130 which was a real surprise!

We were there for about an hour in total. Very professional place and wonderful staff!
