Glory be to GOD in the highest hallelujah!!!! Hubby had interview today and was...APPROVED after 18 months!! Thank you to all the VJers! Special thanks to Dwheels, saylin and others for all the help to get through this. For everyone else that is waiting, there is a light at the end of this long tunnel and your day is coming. Have faith and you will get there. GOD bless!!

Here is what happened: hubby got there around 6am , went through the line ended up being interviewed by one of the nicest officers, asked him how we met, what my profession was, if we had kids, how long had i been in the US, looked at some pictures; then he started to type something in the computer and so hubby asked what he should tell his wife, then the officer said, "tell her your visa was approved"! We were so nervous because we didn't do any front/back loading. We didn't get any checklist, it just took forever to get my tax transcripts. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

i just have questions about fees. @uscis application fee $420. @nvc aos fee $88, iv fee $230. @USEmbassy do i have to pay the immigrant visa application fee (Immediate Relative and Family Preference Application) $325? or i dont have to pay for anything at the embassy since i already paid the $420 application @ uscis? thanks in advance for clearing this up for me.

The only fee left is the green card production fee you will pay on line after you get your Visa of $165.

The fees you paid at NVC whether before Sept 1 or after are good for a year you will not have to pay the difference. That increase does not apply to you.

You bring whatever you want to bring. Be sure to review your checklist you get in your P4 letter in case it mentions any specifics. Visit you countries forum read the reviews what others have said are must haves.

Whatever was sent to NVC will be forwarded to the embassy that is for sure. Many do have a copy and they have brought that. And any evidence they may want to bring.

It has been three days I first understood from the NVC rep. on call that my interview has been scheduled. But I haven't yet received any email from them. Is that normal? I see many have already received such (P4) emails.

Thanks! I'm already listed on the spreadsheet. But the only thing that was wrong on it is the interview date. Thank you so much for all you do!

Yay and congrats!!! this help a lot my hubby got his interview schedule for 1/26 and I just want to make sure he is prepare.. I don't wan him getting nervous and forgetting something I will be there with him but I don't think I'm allow in the interview with him..
