Is there biometrics to be done before interview? Does the consulate give you a biometrics appointment?

Or is it just the medical(possibly immunization) before the interview?

Just a question. My petitioner already got the schedule of my interview through e-mail. Jan. 9, 2015. Although I know that we do email processing I'm still aware that I haven't got a printed interview letter from the US Embassy. What am I gonna show to the US Embassy if I don't have any proof that the US Embassy sent me an interview letter. HELP?

see if the petitioner can express mail you the interview letter or forward it to you so you have a copy.

Just got email from Montreal Consulate. Interview schedule on January 20th. My CC was Nov 21st.

Two questions for Dwheels or other experienced members.

- Do I just print the P4 letter attached in email and bring it to consulate or Will I also get Hard copy of this letter at my home address?

- How is Montreal with rescheduling interview? Do I just email them if I need to reschedule my interview on some other day of the week?

I just interviewed a couple weeks ago. I never received a hard copy of the letter. I just printed up the email.

As for rescheduling, Montreal seems to be tough, at least as far as moving interviews forward. Some of us tried in November and were told it could only be done for medical or humanitarian reasons. You could email them and try. Maybe they're more willing now.

P4 email received last night!! 2 days after being scheduled!

We are excited now, but we need some help. Maybe I am over thinking things...

The Interview instruction letter is pretty clear that many of the documents previously submitted do not need to be re submitted. If I check the "codes" in the letter I see most critical documents coded as already submitted. That said, by reading on VJ I see most folks bring everything with them again. Should we go ahead and assemble new originals (birth certs, my divorce papers, our marriage certificate)?? Or just copies?? We might have to visit the applicable government offices to get more original certified copies. I feel like having everything possible in hand (originals if possible) is like good insurance just in case something is missing. Is this why folks bring everything again instead of just what the letter says?

Also, should we have my wife's birth certificate and our marriage certificates translated?? I have heard if it is in the native language of the country you didn't need to, but the Santo Domingo embassy web page instructions indicate translated documents needed. But that wasn't clear if t translated documents were needed if they are Dominican documents in Spanish. The documents originally submitted to USCIS and NVC were not translated.

All advise is welcome. Maybe someone from the DR can chime in :)

Packet 3 is for non-immigrant K1 visa;

Packet 4 is for immigrant visa IR1/CR1;

You simply print the interview letter when NVC sends you one and take that to embassy that is your packet 4. It's different for each country if embassy contacts you. Interview letter states what documents you need to bring to the interview.

Called NVC this morning and no interview scheduled yet for Cairo ? The rep said to keep calling to find out the interview date but told me that by the 3rd week of December I should have received email with interview. When I asked him IF interviews were being scheduled he said "I dont know just keep calling us to find out."

Congrats to all that got their P4 email & interview date scheduled!! Hope next week we get our interview date for January (Fingers crossed).
