I call yesterday morning and nothing then I try again last night but give up after getting a busy signal for like 60 some times then out of curiosity call this morning but I wasn't expecting anything till next week and ohhh goodness that rep made my morning a whole lot better.. I can't even remember his name lol but he did tell me could be a few weeks till I get the email from them... I'm hoping next week cause my hubby needs it for his medical....

After 10 tries and 45 mins of hold - finally interview date of 12th jan ! Cc date 13 nov, email date 20 nov , consulate mumbai. Praying for all the others who havent gotten their dates - hang in there guys! Thank you dwheels - what ur doin here for everyone is just amazing.

Hello fellow VJers,

I got a new passport because I had almost run out of pages, but my DS 260 has my old passport data.

Do i have to do anything before the interview to change my DS or should i request the consular officer to change it during interview.

Any inputs would be appreciated.

Just bring the old and the new passport to the interview no issue. They will update.

Dwheels can you change my interview date it was to be on Dec 1 but they had problems and Embassy was closed so now we have a new date of Dec 16 ..

Have a quick question- Do we need to submit the AOS again at the interview? hearing contradictory views on this.

You should always have a copy with you yes. And yes you submit a new copy if there has been an update to job or address or anything to AOS in anyway.

Hi i have a question regarding the interview - do we have to take an original i864 or a copy? Also i submitted my original pcc to nvc - i dont have another copy - but i do have a notarized photocopy and pcc stamp on my passport ? Will this do or should i get another original?

Unexpectedly we got an email telling us our interview date is NEXT WEEK 9th December is Sydney! We haven't even done the medical and we need to book flights today. Thankfully after reading the email from support @ ustraveldocs.com which says: (If you have not done the medical examinations, you may still attend the interview).

My questions is, the email also says in the beginning to log back into your account to view details but I don't see which account they mean. Could someone help? Any thoughts?

Just got my letter to say interview scheduled for 15th January 2015!!!!!!

Does anyone know to whom we request for preponing/rescheduling the interviews? I have been assigned a date of January 29th and I am thinking of taking my chances. I wrote to the consulate (Mumbai in India to be precise) and they responded me that they can not prepone the interview the case is still at NVC. They asked me to contact NVC and request them instead. I am confused, who assigns the dates? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the exact response from the consulate:

We are sorry to inform, but the post (U.S. Consulate Mumbai) cannot prepone your interview date, since the interviews are scheduled by the National Visa Center (NVC). Kindly contact the NVC and request them to reschedule your interview at an early date, since your case is still at the NVC. You may contact the NVC at: nvcinquiry@state.gov

You have to wait until your petition gets to the embassy to reschedule. Once NVC schedule you they are done with you. Give it about a week to get to your embassy then write your email.

You should call NVC.. they will be the only one to help you out. Mumbai consulate won't prepone any interview date from NVC (exception only for emergency case).

Interview letter states bring an updated one.. if there is no change.. just get the same I-864 with signature (not photocopy)... also which state did you get the PCC.. for southerns they usually give 2 original copies... you don't even have a photocopy of the original ?

CC was October 24th. I see many with CCs on much later dates with interviews scheduled in the first half of January at Mumbai consulate. I dont understand how the dates are assigned .

It depends on NVC staffs… some just assign the case to one of the open slot regardless of cc date or priority date.

Finally after a wait of 2+ months, case complete in Sept 18, I got interview scheduled yesterday to January 26.

For those who are still waiting for the date, keep holding, it will come, cheers!
