January 2015 Interviews

Do you know how often they update the list?

For the last few months it's been about once a month. But I do remember seeing it updated twice last month.

Keep in mind most of the interviews are scheduled within the first two weeks of the month. If you do not have case complete in time, you fall to the next month's scheduling period. For example, it is likely they will begin making new interview appoints for January 2015 during the days of December 5 to 15...more or less. I was approved with case complete on November 14 but that was too late to make the December interviews. Now I am waiting for the next round of scheduling.

Hi everyone

Sitting at Sydney airport waiting for flight back home so thought I would post with the past 24 hours news.

After receiving email from Consulate last Wednesday saying they had rescheduled interview but giving me my current date of 23rd December I didn't hear back from the until 8.30 am on Monday, yesterday. Guess when the interview was. 10.45 am today. I flew into action. Didn't go to work, booked flights, hotels, babysitters and ran to Post Office to get my 3kgs Express envelope. Two hours later I was at the airport.

Hotel in Sydney CBD upgraded me to a penthouse apartment and after a sleepless night I was at the Consulate by 10.15 am.

Didn't really have to e to get nervous. It all went so quickly. End result

APPROVED!!!!!

On my way home now to my children.

Will catch up on everybody's posts tomorrow.

Love

Xxxxx

Wow!! That's a great way to finish this journey. Congrats!!!!

Oh good. Congratulations. I have added you to the spreadsheet,. You are official now. :dancing:

Did I inform you my interview date is December 18/14? If not, my apologies.

Dear Sir/Madam: The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: BMBXXXXXXXxXX filed by Petitioner Name on behalf of Benifitary Name. The NVC completed its processing of Benifitary Name visa petition. The petition is waiting for an appointment to be scheduled at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in MUMBAI (BOMBAY), INDIA. When an interview appointment is scheduled, the petitioner, principal applicant, designated agent, and attorney of record (if applicable) will be notified. Please be advised that we schedule interview appointments based on the capacity of the respective U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. We are unable to predict when an interview will be scheduled.

I'm sorry I do not have a copy of the email where I am at right now. What I received was a general communication email that said the email was regarding the case the NVC was working on, and it included an attachment. The attachment was a letter that said all documents necessary to complete the NVC processing of the case were received and that as soon as the interview date had been scheduled the applicant and petitioner would be notified.

So, in direct answer, yes, the attachment would be the a case complete notification.

Thank you guys!

I'm really not in a rush for an interview date because I'm getting operated pretty soon and im scare I won't be able to make it to the interview and he gets denied because Im not there since I read its mandatory to go to the interview in dominican republic it's fine with me if they send it for February or March

Do you know how often they update the list?

There's a thread for DR started about that how often I saw just today was trying to find have no idea. I know a K1 just announced they finally got interview after waiting 2 months. DR is slow. Just hang on.

I don;t know really what you mean how often they update the list. The list has nothing to do with IR1/CR1 if you are talking about dates. Those dates do not pertain to you. There are slots given to NVC for IR1/CR1 and they plug you in. K1 is a whole nother thing. Embassy plugs them in.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

Please Please put your VJ member name only. Not nicknames or real names whatever your VJ name is. It's below your profile picture!!

This is wonderful news! My wife had her interview yesterday too and was approved. You probably crossed paths at the Sydney consulate. Wishing you safe travels to the US.

Congratulations guys. I was also approved in Sydney yesterday. What a great feeling. Wonder when our Visa will arrive? Very excited.

After reading this I wanted to just try and give them a call, nothing to lose! Well redial about 40 times busy manage to get through twice just to get a recording saying all reps are busy to try and call later it through email and disconected call... Grrr I really hate calling them!!!! They will make everything easier if they would have an automated system giving updates ;)
