I had my medical in London on the 18th and was smooth and quick to my surprise I needed the flu jab which was an additional £22.. If you're going to Knight bridge in London for your medical ensure you have the flu jab done as you can normally get it done for free and just take proof.

Unfortunately, the expedite for interview does not extend automatically onto all combined cases.

Last Friday, the rep said that since my mother's case has expedite and as her case combined with daughter's case, it is likely that the supervisor will send both of the case immediately to the embassy. The rep said that both of the cases she put on the table supervisor to resolve the issue.

We risked, and appointed interview on January 8, without waiting for cases to be sent. On Monday morning, we have appointed a medical examination on Jan. 5. Bought tickets and booked hotel.

Husband called to NVC on Monday to find out why the cases were not sent on Friday. It turned out that the supervisor has made a request to the Embassy of the daughter's case (that is not expedited) to schedule a date for her interview!!! Why? Babies do not need to be present at the interview. Simply send our documents!

Finally case complete yesterday, December 22, 2014. I have mixed feelings right about now. 8 months at NVC and finally cc. But, im anxious about the interview. Typically how long is the actual interview at the consulate??? I have sooo many questions in my head right now!!!

Judging from the consulate reviews I have read here on VJ, for most Canadians the interview itself lasts 5, maybe 10 minutes. Have a read through the most recent reviews and get a feel for how things have gone for those who went before us. Make sure you organize all the paperwork you are bringing. From what I read, they don't ask for much, but it is always best to be prepared. I do know they are asking for petitioner's birth certificate and all divorce paperwork lately.

Looks like you and I may be scheduled around the same time :). Good luck with the next leg of the journey!

Yes, that's the one. Reason I asked is cause I've seen posts before where it says you can pay before interview. Thanks For the answer. Whats Elis by The way?

http://www.uscis.gov/uscis-elis here is the website to pay once the visa has been issued and picked up.

first of all... your dad is not the sponsor... even though you don't make no income.. you have to be the sponsor and submit I-864... I think you did.. your dad will be joint sponsor... then your mother will sign I-864A as a household member (if filed taxes jointly)..

Regarding -I864A part 2

Line 13 >> Your dads name

Line 14 >> his Signature

Line 15 >> moms name,

Line 16>> her Signature

You can only pay after receiving visa and you must pay it before departing to US...In order to pay you need case ID and Alien number .. some officers give out immigration fee instruction handout at the end of the interview or you will receive it with the visa..

Thanks for the quick response! I just wasn't sure if my dad was supposed to sign it or if I was seeing my dad and mom have to fill out the same I 864A form again. Thanks again!

Can I just say THANKS?

Where would we be without dwheels76?

The Interview thread is so informative and well maintainted. Contrary to the NVC thread managed by a different personality.

This thread is helpful, supportive and invaluable. Thank you dwheels76!

Awww RobbieG thanks. But you know when you at NVC we all go a bit cray cray and NVC pushes us all to the edges voodoo-smiley-emoticon.gif I know I have been a bit snippy  sorry. 2013 and 2014 was no bueno for me. But I have to say a special thank you for all of you passing through. All the I am approved and My baby coming home. Helps me heal. Brings joy to my soul. I laugh I cry. And frankly this is a happy joyous thread. Even when we roll our eyes at the millionth time "how do I track my casefile to the embassy". It's all good.

I may not get the same ending as you all fine people but I sure want the very best for you and I will always be here with the light on as long as they let me and be here with a cheer yell h0403.gif2uge4p4.gif2uge4p4.gifegyptian.gifegyptian.gif

And yes Soloenta I stole your emoticons because you have the bst. LOL
