One question that almost no one asks: my understanding is that the day of the interview they don't actually provide the visa/green card so we can fly back whenever we want, but am I able to pick it up myself with my wife maybe next day or so? Reason I ask is because I wanna come back home with my wife since she has never EVER been outside the Dominican Republic, never flew, or any of the sort. I'll fly on purpose 2 days before interview so I can be there at least 1 week after interview in case that's enough time to get our papers and fly back together. It would suck huge if we can't. So, are we gonna be able to get the papers and fly back together?

Don't know here's how it goes for your embassy.

Visa issued same day? No ball.gif If not whats the waiting period? 1 - 3 weeks, depending on location. Delivered by courier service. Or you can schedule to pick it up from designated location.

Thank you. I have heard of us being able to pick it up ourselves, so we'll do that for sure. Now, when you say "waiting period", do you mean waiting for it to arrive at her address there, or for it to be released? I have heard we can pick it up the very next day at the location assigned.

Thanks for the reply: Do you already have an appointment set, or not yet? Looks like RobbieG got his appointment before it turned into "in transit". And if you do have your appointment, how did you find out? Email, letter, or how? Thanks and sorry for all the questions, but this helps all of us that are a bit behind you.

Yes appointment was setup already.. And i found out by calling NVC on 12th Nov and later got email about it on 5th dec with Interview date.

I'm confused. You say you got Case complete October 28? that was almost 2 months ago? But your timeline in your signature says that's your scan date. So do you actually have Case complete verified by NVC? Have you called and they said you have case complete? Don't assume you have it you need to call and ask if you have it.

Oh I am sorry I meant t say my scan date is OCT 28 and I got Case Complete on Dec 19. I called and verified with NVC they said Case is Complete. No I wanted to know what should I expect now and how long till I get my interview date. I am Yerevan, Armenia Embassy

I'm trying not to be upset right now. My husband said he was quoted a price of 39,000 naira for medicals to be completed. I'm just wanting to know if anyone from 9ja had the same experience? if so, how was this handled? Maybe I need to post this specifically under the 9ja counsulate forum but I thought I would post here first to see if I got any replies.

Is your husband over 40? I ask because they have extra meducal stuff they have to do EKG and other stuff that adds another about 10 to 12K

Right now they range about N33K which medical Q-Life or Childrens?

But 39 is about right depending on what he has done.

He's 29. I see. He called Children's. I just want to make sure he was quoted the right price. as much as I love Nigeria and Nigeria culture there are some things that are very hard for me to accept. If you've been there I'm sure you understand what I'm talking about so I need not say more. Immigration is enough stress without adding Nigerian officials to the mix. thanks Dwheels for your quick response. may God Bless You.

Yep lived there 8 months after marriage. Do not go to children's its the worst. Go to Q-life. It's about N32K. Have heard stores childre's will rip you off and oher stuff. Stick with Q-life it has gotten the best reviews. We have a thread on it you would have to search its a few years old but still valid.
