I-129 DENIED! WHAT TO DO NOW?

If anyone out there has had this same problem, or something like it, PLEASE ADVISE. There was additional information needed for my I-129 application, and I was given a date to have the information returned. I sent the information, before the due date as requested, and my I-129 was denied stating I did not send the information. I do not have the letter of denial here in Colombia. I am waiting for my roommate to fax/mail it to me.

WHAT DO I DO NOW? :help:

I am currently living in Colombia with my wife, and am waiting here for her interview at the embassy in Bogota. We are waiting for package #3 to arrive.

Did you send it with some sort of delivery confirmation. If not you may have to refile and start over.

Have you signed up to check your case status online? https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp You should check on the status of your I-130. That petition will continue even if the K-3 petition is denied.

Or are you waiting for packet 3 for an approved I-130 petition? If that's the case, I wouldn't worry about the denied K-3 and would just continue with the I-130 process.

What's your current timeline? Was your I-130 approved? Is that what the packet 3 is for?

K3 Timeline - 2006-11-20 to 2007-03-19

AOS & EAD Timeline

2007-04-16: I-485 and I-765 sent to Chicago (My AOS/EAD checklist)

2007-04-17: Received at Chicago

2007-04-23: NOA1 date (both)

2007-05-10: Biometrics appointment (both - Biometrics review)

2007-06-05: AOS interview letter date

2007-06-13: AOS interview letter received in mail

2007-07-03: EAD card production ordered

2007-07-07: EAD card received! (yay!)

2007-08-23: AOS interview (Documents / Interview review)

2007-08-23: Green card production ordered!!!

2007-08-24: Welcome notice mailed!

2007-08-27: Green card production ordered again... ?

2007-08-28: Welcome notice received!

2007-09-01: Green card received!

Done with USCIS until May 23, 2009!
