I-130 filed, what next?

Hello all,

I am the husband of a US Citizen. I am currently in the US on a H1B valid until 2009. My wife filed the I130 petition for me a few days ago and we are now in the process of putting together the paperwork for the I485 and other forms that we need to file once the I-130 is approved.

I would like to know how long does it usually take to receive a decision on our I-130 petition. Also, does the fact that we DID NOT file the I485 along with the I-130 put my green card processing under any risk?
