Tax returns

I have heard someone say you need to send in three tax returns with n400 application, but don't have a reference. The GUIDE says to send

to_post_off.gif Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children, or to_post_off.gif Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past three years, or to_post_off.gif An IRS tax return transcript for the last three years.

Emphasis on the 'ORs'. If I send in plenty of bank accounts, leases, birth certificates of children and such, are the tax return hard copies required? BTW, we did file all three returns, but don't have an official transcript since we efiled. Nowhere in the n400 instructions do I see anything about this. I can get a transcript if I have to but would rather not lose time on it if it isn't required.

Also should n-400 and biometrics fees be two separate checks?

Single check/bank draft/money order for both.

Not sure about you, I ordered transcripts off irs.gov (you can order them online, too) but they weren't needed.

But then again, mine was a straightforward case (Single, never married etc).

Nibake, IRS won't email you transcripts. You think they're idiots or what? How can you expect them to email you such sensitive documents? They'll mail it to you.

Also, unfortunately the IRS website you linked to is broken, so I won't be able to get transcripts emailed.

They don't email you the transcript, there is an option that you can view it then print it online. Or you can have them sent it to you via mail..
