I had been waiting since June 5th and just got my approval yesterday. Mine was also from Texas Service Center and their currect processing time is 5.9 months. Im sure yours will be on it's way soon!

I can only echo what other users have posted. I often look back and rue the fact we didn't apply for a K1 as they seem to be processed much quicker than IR1/CR1 visas, but then again hindsight is 20-20 as they say, and our wedding wasn't planned.

Just stick it out for the little bit of time you have left, don't risk resetting the clock by having to apply for a spousal visa or (worse still) travel as a tourist with the intent to adjust status - that could see you getting kicked out of the US for a very long time.

Best of luck to you both.

I agree with everyone else. From what i have read he will have to go back home and start the process for a spouse visa. If he comes here with the intent to marry then it is fraud and we could be banned from ever getting a visa to come to the US. I would not advise it. The process can take nine months to a year. Patience is the wise choice here if you want to have a for sure thing.
