It isn't being melodramatic.

The last banker bail-out was trillions and still counting. The banks knowingly sold bad debt at huge mark-ups through fake ratings the agencies were paid to fabricate. It was massive fraud and two congressional committees were getting personally rich keeping regulators from interfering.

In other words, they were cashing in for years on fraud and when it came crashing down they had the taxpayers foot the bill, and it is long from over.

That doesn't make welfare queens any more acceptable. Both of them are borrowing off the next generation, which is morally despicable.
