What would you report? Unless you have clear evidence that a company is deliberately hiring illegal aliens, it would seem presumptuous to call them on mere suspicion. Secondly, from what I observed, those illegals who are caught are let go - we have no systematic deportation of illegals in this country unless they are convicted felons.

All those people recently caught in the Swift raids, for example, were deported . . . they don't usually just let them go.

Tom, Department of Homeland Security is the proper authority assuming you have 100% proof that a company has hired illegal workers.

If one had such evidence and could easily prove it then who would one contact.

There is a danger in working for a company that knowingly hires illegals and/or helps them get here, as some do. For one thing, such companies, being already unethical, have been known to use the information of former employees to help illegals doctor fake documents. Your SNN and other information, in their hands, can be used to provide documentation for illegals. That this is a method used by employers has been discovered in some of the plant raids.

I wouldn't do it. Working for an entity that doesn't care about its employees or the law anymore than how it can exploit them is not a smart move.

All that may be true - but I believe the OP was more actually concerned about getting in trouble himself for working in the same place where illegals are working, which is not the case.
