Hi Everyone,

My husband and I sent all of our documents to the NVC in June. Months later we got an email saying all our civil documents were missing (the IV package). This is literally impossible as we got a confirmation that our AOS package was received and we sent both packages in one big envelope separated into two envelopes. We called numerous times and our calls were dropped or we were on hold for 45 minutes at a time. When we finally reached someone, they said they didn't have the documents and they must be resubmitted for our case to move forward. You can imagine our frustration. Luckily we have everything we need and we can send it all no problem but I just really want to make sure again we do it correctly so that we don't run into any more issues. My question is, for the IV package supporting civil documents, we only need the documents for the beneficiary, correct? Sorry for the extremely long-winded way of asking a simple question. Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes only the beneficiary documents and now you only have to send a photocopy. You no longer send originals to the NVC unless asked.
