Where would my Interview be at?

I applied for AOS and my case got transfered to the California Service Center. Pretty happy about that, since they did my K-1 visa application too and it went fast.

Well, my husband and I live in Louisiana, so now I am wondering, if we would have to go to California for the Interview???

I had my biometrics taken in Dallas, after that they transfered my case...

Just wondering, I am pretty confused about how they process those cases...

You will have to go to your local office for the interview - My case stayed at Missouri and I live in Los Angeles - my interview is in the LA district office.

12/1/2006 Received RFE Grrrrrrrrr

12/2/2006 Biometrics

12/8/2006 Sent back RFE

1/26/2007 EAD Card Production Ordered

1/31/2007 EAD Card received

4/30/2007 AOS APPROVED

5/7/2007 Green Card Arrived!

If your AOS case got transferred to CSC then it's highly likely you won't have an interview. Most cases sent to CSC get approved without interview (I only know of a couple that got sent back to their local office). But, if for some reason your case got sent back to your local office and you needed an interview it would be there.

I might not have an interview??? :( I have preparing myself for that for months already, and now you tell me, I might get the gc just "like that"???

Haha, it would be nice! It seems like people who live in California don't get transferred to CSC, how unfair :P

Well, you got an email/letter saying "Your case has been transferred to our california service center..etc etc" right? If so then that usually means no interview :)

Yes, I got a letter like that. I just didn't know, what else that would mean other, than that my case got forwarded...lol
