Why the ARN have not been change yet????

USCIS case status is showing my case was received on Nov 7th.. but still no ARN changed or anything. Should I be worry??

We haven't received ours yet either but apparently it will be written on the NOA2 hardcopy so not to worry

It's going to be difficult to base it on a member who has had an approval in less than a week.. that's very out of the ordinary. There wouldn't even be enough time to handle the ARN change.

The ARN can be changed a few weeks after the NOA1, then again before the NOA2 is approved, or it can be changed just once during the process. The ARN changing is no longer a sign of things to come (... my fiance's was changed July 16 at TSC and we are still waiting). Some time back it was a sign that the NOA2 was on its way, but that isn't the case any longer.

Being at Texas, and speaking from experience, you are in for a wait. Hopefully they get their act together and start transferring petitions like they should be doing to balance the workload. The service center volume fluctuates, so who knows in a few months what it will be like. Hang tight and prepare letters ahead of time to your Senators and Congressmen/women. Around 5 months send those off requesting assistance with your petition. There's no guarantee, but it can't hurt.

The complaints from TSC petitioners waiting 5, 6, 7 months while California is processed in less than a month or two did get a batch transferred in August of April and May filers. We have yet to see this happen again and TSC is looking like they will be backlogged... again.

This is true of course, but I was just trying to say if for some reason it wasn't ever changed, it would be written on the NOA2 anyway so not to worry. As you said, the change itself doesn't actually seem to signify anything so if the only way to see the ARN was on the NOA2 this wouldn't be a disaster!

I wasn't saying anything to insinuate that you shouldn't have commented. I was only letting the poster know that it is definitely not the norm, especially not if they are at Texas.

Yes, it should be written on the NOA2 paperwork, the OP could also call USCIS and attempt to gain the ARN number but it's doubtful it would be given until they were approved (NOA2) because it could change multiple times between NOA1 and NOA2.

Thank you so much! I really hope it gets sorted quickly but it seems NVC are pretty backlogged at the moment so who knows! My waiting game could be yet to come
