Hello,
I came to the US in 1999 with B1 (business visa).
I got married with my girl friend (she is USC - but she was born in Romania - like me also) in december 2010.

I have applied for I-485 and I-130 in april 2014 at Chicago office.

We had the interview on October 22, 2014!

The interview was simple as 1,2,3! (5 minutes interview)!!!!
We had lots of documents, pictures and evidence. The IO didn't ask any questions! Just a couple of pictures and a few bills.

At the end of the interview the IO took my I-94 from my passport and she told me that I have been approved for the permanent residence since I got married almost 3 years ago and that I can apply for the citizenship after 3 years and that I will receive my GC within 14 days!

As of today November 24, 2014 I did not receive yet the GC or the approval letter.

Also the online status of my case didn't change - still in "Interview is Scheduled" and the I-130 still "Case was received"

Please advice me what to do next!

Make an Infopass appointment and enquire as to the case status.

I made a online e-request about my case.

Today I got the answer:

Your application is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your application.

I am going crazy ....

What could be next?! Why is taking so long? What to do next?!

We are in the same situation. We had our interview on Dec 11th in Chicago. The interview took less than 10 min. We were asked couple questions. We are together over 6 years. We were told on the spot that we are approved and green card should arrive within two weeks. She took I94. A month has passed and we didn't get any letter or gc. Online status says that we are still at the "interview is scheduled" stage. I scheduled an infopass fro tomorrow so I hope I'll get some answers. It is very frustrating that most of the times people get their gc very fast. Yet we have to wait.

Well, IO always says that at the end of interview to calm you down. All you can do is to be patient. Maybe a pending background is the reason. Good luck.

Just got back from our infopass appointment. They do not know much more than we do here. The only thing we have find out is that our case is awaiting a decision. (Our online case status says that we are at the interview stage) IO said that you should hear something within 2-4 weeks. Frankly for some reason, I don't believe them. It's gonna be 2 months after the interview.

Yeah. I don't know what the is going on with uscis. I'm gonna file a ###### complaint at my next infopass. We filed the paperwork over 8 months ago. We had interview in December and they can't issue a decision. This is beyond ridiculous. If they don't have enough people they should hire more than.

I don't know either!

Should we schedule an infopass? We just did some online inquire ... same answer ... both for I-485 and I-130 ... pending consideration ...

I worry about FBI name check because my first name and last name are identical with my grandpa name (I have a middle name also but my grandpa doesn't) that died before I was born (1967).

He was a teacher and a music composer in Romania and there is a street in a city that has been named after his death with his name!
And now if I google my first and last name will be lots of hits because that street that has my granpa's name! All kind of business addresses and all kind of info will pop up showing my name which in fact is a little different because my middle name!

Any thoughts?

Maybe they think who the #### is this guy that has his own street in Romania !?!?!?
