You guys I am getting worried . We are coming up on December and my fiancé has to request a police certificate from a country he lived in. He is going to consulate to do so next week and has not scheduled medical nor filled out Ds160 despite constant reminders. I know he can't schedule his interview anyhow until police certificate is obtained. Is there any insight as to where London is in scheduling their interviews?

You can get an impression about what interviews are being scheduled in London right now from the timelines by seeing what dates have been posted for London interviews*.

The embassy will slow down from now until the new year, because of Thanks Giving, Christmas and NYE (many public holidays plus Americans going home to visit family/taking time off).

It'll only go as fast as it can AFTER the beneficiary has done everything they can do as quickly as possible (which he has not). You should get on nagging him, he's the hold up currently.

i am hoping looking at the timelines it does not take that long to get an interview date...if so we are screwed

Well, it's not the best time of year, it'll likely only slow from here on out until the new year. I'd prepare for the worst and be pleasantly surprised should something better happen.

Do you have a wedding date planned for April? A big wedding? Is that why there's urgency?

I started collecting documents after I got my NOA1, as I mentioned to you in another thread, my foreign police certificate takes 2 months alone so I knew it would be best to get it asap. Much to my surprise the NOA2 took 26 days so everything is go go go now. His UK police certificate takes 10 days, have you done the affidavit of support document/supporting documents?

He can get his medical done with his UK police certificate, the DS-160 is pretty simple - only tricky part is the photograph that's quite specific in dimensions. So my suggestion for him would be (in this order):

- Apply for the foreign police certificate

- Apply for the UK police certificate

- Complete DS-160

- Obtain Birth certificate

- When he gets UK police certificate have medical

- When he receives foreign police certificate submit readiness form

In the mean time you can work on the I-134 form/supporting docs and send that to him if you haven't already. Good luck, if he gets his bum in gear I think you could do this by April!

The UK police certificate can also be expedited for about £40 more I believe. That's what I did - it came back to me after 3 days (incl. the day of submission).

we are planning to wed in april. he has his UK police certificate, has filled out his DS160 and will schedule his medical soon. He is requesting his certificate from Ghana on Tuesday. I know he has a gazillion things going on so I commend him by doing all that he is. He works as a pharmacy, also doing a post graduate certificate program that he condensed from two years into 18 months. He is doing a lot. He is working on things. He is my snuckums. lol

October 29th, but they said they sent for it the first week of November. They said to wait until the end of this week and then they'll contact the office in Japan. No word and the work week is over, so guess I'll be bugging the consulate on Monday. :S
