Hi Everyone,

I have a cousin who just mailed an application to Chicago Lockbox and it was delivered by USPS last week Wednesday. But, since then he hasn't gotten a notification from USCIS. Is anything wrong or has anyone experienced this lately? Would appreciate your advice. Thanks

The Chicago Lockbox was correct (assuming you're talking about an I-130 petition), but you're in the wrong forum. And no, one week isn't an unreasonable time to have not heard anything.

Its only been like 4 business days since they received it. Give it a couple more days. They might've already processed it, just havent sent out the receipt number to you.

It can take up to 2-4 weeks.

Has the check been cashed?


Guys please pay attention to the forum that you are replying to. I-130 petitions go to either the Chicago or Phoenix lock boxes (if not filed DCF) while ALL K1 go to the Texas lock box.
