Hello everyone, I havent been around in a while. Everything is great here and Tik and I are great. She is the reason for my life.

Man Thai2luv!!!

Still stuck on AOS that sucks. We got approval in about 1 month. I paid for AP but never got it the green card came quick. I dont know I guess that money went out with the trash

I wish I was back in Thailand!! We went to the local Temple for PEE MAI (NEW YEAR). Made me want to go back. Oh well maybe next year.

We also went to the Thai Temple in North Hollywood this past weekend. One of the few places we can find authentic Thai food.

Your AOS was processed pretty quickly. Consider yourself lucky your case was transferred and you skipped the interview.

Our interview is tomorrow and I hope it's quick and painless.

Mike make sure you tell me how it goes. Ton and I go exactly 1 week after you. I was by that area last night, make sure you get there early because parking is a bit hard over there.

Dan,

The interview was a "walk in the park" :) and we were approved on the spot.

The immigration officer was a very pleasant woman whom seemed to truly enjoy her job. Now, that's a rare trait for a government employee (j/k). Maybe my wife and I were just lucky to get such a nice interviewer.

Just be prepared and bring everything on the AOS NOA interview notice.

You can read a more detailed account of the interview in my other post.

 Ton received her green card today

Now get to relax for the next 2 years (well 1 yr and 7 months).

I found the AOS to be the easiest part of the whole process. Took less than 2 months from the time I mailed the application until receiving the green card. But considering how long it took from approval of the I-129F until NVC received it, we deserved a fast processing time.

Good Luck to everyone else going through the process.

Well we too have been gone a long time for the site. After a computer crash and loss of login information I need to create a new screen name.

We are happy to see everyone is well on their way to a happy life together. Good luck to all.

Well for the ones that can remember I am Ray and my lovely wife is Su. We are also now in the time frame known as AOS hell.

It has been several months since we applied. At first everything was going fast. We had our bio appoint with in a month and a half and the case was transferred soon after... and we wait.

On the USIC web site there is an entry that says they have sent a letter for RFE. At this point what more information could this be? Could it be our letter for an interview? We have already sent two RFE requests back to them. What more could they want?

I was just wondering if someone else has had any experience like this.

Any info anyone has would be great.

Thanks

Su and Ray

I moved after she enter the U.S on K1. Do I have to file AR11?

I am filling I-485 and I-765 using my new address and her new last name.

How do I answer question # 16 on I-765? (a)(6) or ©(9)?

Our I-94 will expired May 13

Hey gangs it's been awhile, I'm in the process of getting the paperwork for my wife AOS ready. I have a question or two about the process.

About the adress change, after reading this thread about it. I downloaded the AR-11 form and notice that you'll have to file the form within 10 days of such changes. Are we in trouble for filing it a month later?

Another question regarding the medical examination. My wife came over with the K1 visa and had her medical exam done in Thailand. She was supposed to take some more of following shots after the examination, but never recieve them. Due to the fact that the doctor back home refused to give the shots, because she already have those shots done when she was younger. I wanna take her to get those shots done here in the U.S., thought I'll ask you expertise about this matter.

TD - dose #1 (done), dose #2 4-8 weeks after dose #1 (not done) and Dose #3 6-12 months after dose #2 (not done)

MMR - dose #1 (done), Dose #2 4-8 weeks after dose #1 (not done)

VARICELLA - Dose #1 (done), dose #2 4-8 weeks after dose #1 (not done)

I was wondering if she have to complete all of those shots in order to file for the AOS?

If your wife has already had the vaccinations then she's already had the vaccinations. Did the doctor put that information on the DS-3025? I don't understand why you would want your wife to re-take vaccinations that she's already had, unless the doctor did not document that she'd already had them.

I-693A is the USCIS version of DS-3025. Sometimes DS-3025 is accepted by the USCIS - provided that it's complete (it may not be since non-immigrants do not need vaccinations to come to the USA) - and sometimes the USCIS insists on I-693A even if the DS-3025 is complete. It all depends on what the people who handle the case believe is necessary.

After the medical exam at Bumrungrad was done the Doc. said that she'll need the following shots for TD, MMR, and Varicella listed above. It can be done anywhere as long as they have it available. When she went to get her med done at Bumrungrad she didn't have any record of shots she has taken in the past. She didn't know what shots were given, untile she sent me an email about it. My wife went to the hospital back home and the doctor said that she already have those shots done already, so he refused to give her those shots and never docted the paper. So I'm wondering if it's ok to just sent in the vaccination record we have. I'll talk to the reccomended CIS doctor about it and see if he can do anything about it.

Your wife needed the doctor who gave her the shots a record that could have been taken back to the doctor at Bumrungrad. Only the approved doctors at the approved facilities - known as Panel Physicians - can fill out and sign off on the visa medical forms.

The DS-3025 that your wife has will not suffice for the USCIS - it does not show that she's had all of the necessary vaccinations. A USCIS Civil Surgeon, like the overseas Panel Physicians, need to see a vaccination record from a doctor to accept your wife's claim to have had the vaccinations.
