We are going to schedule an infopass appointment to see what is happening with Dao's case. I called the FBI today and they state fingerprints were processed and returned to USCIS on 9/6.

Hello All!

Just a quick update on our status and I think a bit of humor. As most of you know Thisa received her GC over 2 months ago but the sex was "M" instead of "F". Way to go U.S.C.I.S.! Tuesday we received notice that she has automatically been registered with the Selective Service. On her enrollment card her sex is listed as "M". Yet more paperwork I have to submit to have this changed. If not for the I-551 stamp in her passport giving her all the benefits of Green Card in hand I might just explode. Instead I'm looking at the whole experience as quite funny. We are two months into the process of getting a corrected GC so at the most only 4 more months until the new one arrives. I just wonder how many other things are going to show up down the road because someone at U.S.C.I.S. made a booboo.

 WOOHOOOOO!!!

My AOS is approved!!!! YEY

we went to charlotte today (3 hrs drive) for 9.30 appointment.. they called us in at 9.20 (we arrived like 45 mins early) and she just took our papers and ask me only one question..."how did we meet" and then we talked all about our dog and her dogs and then she said i'm approved!! YEY !! we went out at 9.35am... in and out.. so fast!

I was kinda panic though so I gave her my real documents (also my W2) and i wasnt thinking about it until we drove back.. i have to ask for a replancment we had the copy but well.. she got both the real one and the copy one and problably didnt notice it ... or - it might just laying around in the waiting area.. who know.. i know only i dont have it now.. lol

she also took my EAD cards (the real one and the interim one) and i have a stamp on my passport - the Green Card will be in a mail about 2 weeks

oh.. she mention that she was so surprised our case is done so fast.... normally Charllote office takes longer time... we just fly!!!

now everything is done i can rest for 2 years ^^

 Congratulations Anya-D!!

Edited: Oh wow, I didnt realize it was from MAY, bah-hahahaha-been a while since I came into this thread then.....congrats anyways

Weeeeeell.....

On the 16th I made an infopass appointment, On the 17th Dao's I-485 was touched, On the 18th we received email that a welcome notice was mailed!!!! I can only speculate that her case has been sitting on someones desk since her fingerprints were returned from the FBI on September 6th and the scheduling the appointment got it moving again.

Unfortunately for us, we are out the $180 we paid for an EAD renewal last week, "Unrefundable".
