Hi everyone,

I received my AOS invoice today which has been paid; both our AOS and IV packages are ready to leave. I placed the bar-coded cover sheet for the AOS into the respective package.

I haven't been invoiced for the IV yet and understand that there are some significant delays with the NVC issuing this. I've done some digging around on other user's timelines (as I often do rather than posting) and found that some users have an earlier IV package sent date than IV invoice received date. Additionally, I found a thread earlier in which a user stated they were advised to send the IV package in despite the fact that they had not been invoiced for the IV fee (and I assume by extension did not have the respective bar-coded cover sheet for it).

Is this correct? I'm sending out my AOS package tomorrow, and wanted to know whether I should send the IV package alongside it.

As ever, thanks for your help.

Yes I sent my IV package in without waiting for the IV Fee Bill, as advised by a NVC rep. The IV Bill is taking a long time to generate at the moment- a lot of VJ'ers are having trouble, myself included.

Thanks for the response. I ended up sending off my AOS documents, but didn't send my IV documents out of fear of not having the bar-coded cover sheet for it.

We didn't receive any correspondence from the NVC at all since our case arrived there; the only reason I knew my case number and IIN was because we had the foresight to call. I called them again a few days ago and they apologised stating that they had "had a glitch in the system" which didn't generate and send the welcome letter or first packet of instructions to us. I finally got these shortly after the phone call. The problem is that I noticed that the first packet includes a bar-coded cover sheet and checklist with the instructions to send everything off. I'm worried now that because of this error, we'll be subjected to further delays. I don't know whether or not to just send my IV packet in regardless with the cover sheet from the email. Guess I'll have to call them again.
