Mother's immigration - NVC (national visa center) not responding to calls/emails

I'm not sure if there is a thread already available for this.

My mom is currently in India and I (the petitioner) received a letter from USCIS saying that the I-130 is approved and the case is sent to NVC, Portsmouth, NH for further processing.

It's been over a month (from the notice date on the letter of i130 approval) now but there is no contact from the NVC either with me or my mom.

I called (603) 334-0700 but the line is always busy or disconnected?

I sent multiple emails to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov but didn't get any response to my emails.

How should I track my mom's case? How long do I need to wait to hear from NVC?

I didn't go through NVC myself since I filed DCF, but I've heard others say that calling them around the opening/closing hours is the easiest way to get a hold of someone.

Redial is your friend. I set aside a full hour to call and I sit and hit redial over and over until I get through. Sometimes it literally takes me fifty or sixty dialings to get through, but it always works in the end. I have also found that I have, oddly, the best luck at approximately 12 after the hour and 12 to the hour. People seem to call at quarter hour intervals. If I call on the hour, at quarter after, half past or quarter to, I sometimes have to dial fifty or sixty times. At 12 after, I generally get through in the first three diallings.

Seems like someone needs to start a new thread for "NVC dialers" to figure out when the best time is to call customer support.

It usually takes around 6 to 8 weeks by NVC to register the case and get back to you. in case of my mother NVC took 6 weeks to contact us after receipt of case from USCIS and in my father's case it took 5 weeks. you may wait for another week. Hopefully you will be contacted in a week or so.

Thanks for the info.Plan to sit tight for a week or so maybe and then go into "operation redial" to get a status update.

My US local time being 3 hours behind NH time, it's a major hassle dialing in 7 am NH time (start of business for the NVC customer service).
