On my MSC case number for the AP application, it said that "on Feb 24th we approved your application for travel document". You will also receive a letter stating that AP was approved and it is recommended to take it with you when you travel.

I still need some clarification.

Are you saying your got a notice for approval of EAD and then a separate notice for approval of AP?

When the card actually comes, it is a combo card, right? The card indicates both EAD and AP right?

Ok, let me explain better.

You receive a hard copy letter of an approval for your I-131. The letter says that it is approved. It comes separately from the EAD card.

You also receive the EAD card, it comes attached to a letter, glued to the letter like a credit card. On the actual card it says employment authorization document and on the bottom it says: 'it serves as I-512 Advance Parole'

Of text messages and e-mails, I only received them saying that something changed on my EAD process. Then I logged in and saw that it was approved. You will receive texts and emails every time they assign an officer, approve, mail it out, when they get the tracking # from the post office and when it gets delivered to you. Only for the EAD. I did not receive a text or e-mail telling me that the AP had been approved, although the status had been changed to approved.

Yes, AP letter comes separately from EAD letter.

Yes, EAD card with AP note on the bottom come glued on an approval notice with bar codes and stuff.

We got emails and text messages for both the EAD and the AP approval. Then an email with USPS tracking of EAD. Then EAD arrived (combo card). Never got an approval notice for the AP per se.

Leo, no problem! I know how it feels when you just want some details but most people don't like to spend time giving it. They just like to ask and get the help from others

Yes I was intrigued that they sent you two notices by mail. I thought it was fine for us to only get one letter, because the EAD card is a combo card for both applications. I wasn't expecting another letter. I wonder why they are so variable, and why they have been really slow lately with things. Even the case processing times website hasn't been updated for over a month now.

Oh really? I haven't checked the processing times lately. A curious thing that happened to me though, my profile on USCIS was locked. I don't know if you guys have a case profile where you just login and add all your cases instead of checking by case number. Well, mine got locked for the second time. It said it was either for being too long without logging in or wrong password too many times. I didn't write my password wrong, but I had not logged in for a few days. I would hope they would allow a couple months before locking it. Either way, I had already created a 2nd one this time I am not going to creating a 3rd profile since I am on the last steps anyway.

I have a question, 10 days ago i received a text msg that interview was scheduled for May/6 and 2 days later i received the notice in the mail, today i received a text msg that my case is updated when i checked the status it changed to on April/15 your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview !!

What does that mean ?

Noona - I answered you in the December thread

Just wanted to inform Novembers that interview was yesterday and we were approved. Contrary to most opinions from Nov/Dec fillers, I had a little bit of a hard time which surprised me. She said my hubby and I answered differently on a couple of things but then she asked again and it all straightened out. She also said that we should have had a joint bank account bc all finance is now 'together'. In the end I guess she realized we were real. Good luck to all and do prepare a lot! Always think you're not ready! Be over-ready! It's always best. Xo.

My interview was supposed to be on May/06 , unfortunatelly it was cancelled, so frustrating

Any one in Chicago having the same problem ?
