Yeah it sounds like you are in normal AP processing. If you call today they will give you details about the interview, I did that just to double check everything and make sure it was ok.

Yahoo was being super weird yesterday but I'm glad I got to keep you company anyway. I just got your messages today!

Sounds pretty much the same as Moh's interview. You'll just have the mandatory security checks it seems. Don't bother calling DOS until at least a month after the interview. Also...try not to read too much into anything they say. The visa "specialists" seem to change their stories every time you call.

So... after talking to Ahmed again later (after we both got some sleep!) he told me a few more details.

He told me that there were some people waiting with him that once they finished their interviews, came out so excited and happy saying that they will get their visa in the next week.

One man said "I get to spend Valentine's Day with my wife!"

Another guy had a paper given to him saying that he has submitted all the required documents and was done or something...

So ahmed was just wondering how come he didn't get anything. But every case is different, not everyone was doing a k-1.

Oh! He did say that almost everyone had their documents translated and stamped that they were official translations... But I remember specifically reading that if they were in the language of the country it was not necessary to get them translated. He said that the man at the first window was a little strict and had told him that he'll have to reschedule his interview because he didnt have everything translated into English. Ahmed said that none of the packet info had said that, and there was also another man there agreeing with ahmed saying he never read that either.

Anyway.. apparently others had gotten everything translated.

But it turned out when his number was called a lady checked all his papers and didn't bring it up at all, so who knows.

Oh one more thing, see we have this thing with the number 23, we met on dec 23, engagement party june 23, a couple other sweet things always end up being on the 23rd..

And today, while waiting for his interview, guess what number he just happened to be!!!!!
