Now your scenario matches me bcoz we had afield investigation visit as well last year...My wife spent 10 months with me in her recent visit but Embassy's field investigation team went to wrong place and those neighbors there made them satisfied about our relation and marital information to be true and neighbors asked them to visit us where we are living and gave them our exact location...but they never came...they left satisfied and after their visit 8, more months passed...my wife sent them lot of emails to call both of us for a joint interview if they want but they never replied and she had to leave for USA 3 months before...now she is coming back to Pakistan again but we are still in AP...Total 18 Months in AP...

Be hopeful sister...we all are praying for you and you will get visa very soon iA

Thats what scares me now, that this case will linger on for a year or more, they will stop working on this case for a while now

My interview is in next month. and i m F4 case. I just want to know that home searching is only for marriage based petitions or they also do in F4 cases ?

there is no police like home search. when they do visit the home they do just that, visit. ask around the neighborhood. and no there has never been an F4 case where there was a home visit.

I know one guy on VJ here...he is in AP for last 5 years... his wife is also native american and they visited his home 2 years after putting him in AP and then never came back or responded about what happened...recently Embassy returned his expired passport without any intimation or email and he just got a call from AMEX to collect his passport...

But in several other cases has been noticed that visa is issued so fast after field investigation...it depends on satisfaction of Embassy's staff after field investigation team's visit...

Be hopeful you will get visa iA...they are working on your case at least...

Are they asking for renewal of his passport? Will he submit it back?

He is so confused and upset now bcoz his father recently passed away and he could not pay attention to this matter...but AMEX people told him to submit passport after renewal bcoz his case is under process with Embassy and he will have to pay Rs. 850/- bcoz he is sending renewed passport...thats all he knows...he is so desperate and doesn't write to Embassy

Guys my wife got her passport packet along medical packet. never felt this much happy in my life. Thanks alot guys

i literally pray for u guys.. all of u get visas soon. AP is heartbreaking procedure for the couple and families.

@sarach

ALLAH KRE ur husband get the visa by next week. You are getting constant updates. and one thing i like to share here. yes its better to keep low profile in this crazy world. But Pakistan is little different. When someone get married. They have to openly declare it.. so all of ur relative and specially your neighbors should know this. In your case Sarach sis.. your husband had previously married. So embassy had to verify your marriage. Hence they sent their ppl to your husband house to satisfy themselves. I hope they went back with positive and satisfied mind.

Congratulations!

I am very happy for you bro and your wife, have a happy happy life together iA!

I think they went back 50/50 in my own opinion based on what happened, because they only interviewed one person, and she had no idea of our marriage because she dont live in Pakistan most of the time. but on other hand spoke good things on my husband and his character. plus she also confirm there no kids at all. and that was one of their question.

so its all kismat at this point, next week next month next year, its all in ALLAH's hands now

even if they r satisfied with anything, only two weeks left for medical to expire, I dont think think they will give only two weeks valid visa.

anyone know what is the least amount of time that a visa has been issued?

Emily has had surgery on her shoulder and is recovering. Her husband is still in AP although the embassy asked for certain documents. They are like 2 love birds when they communicate on facebook so their marriage is in good shape.
