That is just plain cruelty, senators sometimes cant do anything much but u should have them inquire every few weeks so the embassy knows that they are being monitored.

Senators cant force US Embassy or any Federal Agency. They can merely enquire and US Embassy would simply give them the same reply which they give to us. Involving senators too often can irritate the US Embassy staff so if you have invovled senator or congressman once then dont repeat that. You would likely get the same result and it wont impact your case positively.

agree bro........as i tried all possible efforts like contacting senator, lawyer etc. ........but all things useless.......and after all that i am fed up i am the man who always follow the rules i dont even send regular emails to embassy......i followed each and every thing but last year exact after an year gap i sent an email to

embassy but they did not even bother to reply, after few weeks my wife also sent an email but no reply not even case updated.

My experience is opposite, morning calls, they give me the least amount of information, I think only once a lady was nice to tell me your documents were forwarded to someone else, and she said if u dont get a reply to your email. then call us back and we will contact the embassy to get in touch with you, i dont know how true that is but thats the most help I have got. the ladies who answer the calls in the morning, spend a whole two minutes quiet when their checking for information and say your case is still under review at the embassy, I feel like saying what do u mean at the embassy, its like where else is it supposed t be reviewed.ill just keep calling and see if i get a helpful person. i saw your thread, I think your AP is finished for sure and your visa is going to be issued soon.

Yeah, never quite know what to expect with NVC. Either the info ends up being very helpful or not at all. At least it's access to a live person though, as the Embassy doesn't really reply to emails much. I pray you and everyone else here gets some successful progress soon, InshaAllah.

Bhai dont worry. In sha Allah you would have your visa soon.

I am in AP for 3 years 4 months and 27 days to be very precise. I am optimistic about my visa and I make dua that we all get visas and be with our loved ones soon in sha Allah.

Sometimes like every human being I have episodes of frustration but we all can orient our emotions towards happiness by thinking that dawn comes after the darkest hour.

One thing you all must remember that INJUSTICE done to anyone is always returned by God. Anyone doing injustice to us would no doubt suffer in one way or another but few understand that. We all were destined to this test so we are facing it.

My case got an update today on 8th February (Sunday) as I had updates on 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th February.

I cant understand the reason for update on two off days (5th February National Holiday) and Sunday (weekly off day).

Can any of you guys share your experiences regarding what happens when case get updates on off days?

i think your case is close to complete that's good sign when case got updated especially in Sunday I pray tomorrow you will receive a call from embassy Insha Allah good luck

Well that's good news for u that you got 5 updates this month. atleast they are working on your case. as you said in your earlier post that embassy has your passport and its expired. So they might send your passport back to you for renewal and then issue visa. hopefully this nightmare will end soon for u. Edited February 8, 2015 by mueed

How long does embassy take to work on case after date is current. Its been 8 days my priority date became current but embassy gave me no response yet. I emailed them but no reply even the case hasq not updates yet. My blood pressure is going high day by day its not getting low. Me and my wifelosing iur life slowly and if this will continue i an afraid soon we will die before seeing each other :'(
