All I can say is unbelievable! But I saw mostly focus on USCIS, correct me if I am wrong, what is done on embassy level regarding security?

yea you are right ........

and here is the embassy or CO role ....

In cases pending in Administrative Processing (AP) the consular officer may need more time to review the case before determining whether the applicant is eligible for the visa. In immigrant visa cases such as the fiance(e) visa, the consular officer may conclude at the interview that there's not enough convincing evidence to deny the case nor approve it, there may be some red flag issue, or a discrepancy in the case to warrant a secondary review. Cases in AP may take months to conclude, however, in this writer's experience, providing additional compelling evidence of the bona fides of the applicant's relationship to the American petition may assist the consular officer in making a definitive decision in the case.

221(g)
U.S. consulates abroad have been known to deny visas based upon INA Section 221(g) even after the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has approved a petition for the visa application.

In a 221(g) case, the consular officers determine that the requirements for a petition-based visa are not met by an applicant. They can refuse to issue the visa under Section 221(g). When they do so, they also request that the USCIS revoke the petition that was approved earlier.

Even though the USCIS has the primary authority to determine whether or not a person meets the requirements for a particular, petition-based visa classification, the consulate may reach a different conclusion and request that the USCIS reconsider its original approval of a petition. What can happen is that new, negative information can come to light at the time of the interview and the interviewing consular officer may conclude that the visa applicant either does not appear to meet the requirements

Dear Ali bro

We can not blame totally on us embassy due to this loooooooonger pain full AP......i remember the time of interview, pakistani staff in us embassy was very rude and kind of jealous I am an IT Professional..........if some one from any of my bro and sis need any IT related help I will be available.

Allah bless on all of us. ameen

Dear karachi bro & sarahch...I really appreciate ur kind and nice words and the way you are trying to encourage...I have been same your type during the long span of 18 months as well on VJ here and never cared of this visa issue ever and took it so light always and always encouraged all bros & sis but now my own patience level is going lower and I am feeling to be wasting my precious time of life in wait of this visa and we are gonna complete 42 months total in this stupid visa process which is never ending for me i guess so I have decided not to waste more time and relax and chill as we did since we got married and spent 3 years together and more better times are looking forward to us .... Lets hope for the best for all bros & sis and pray for all to come out of this night marre called AP very soon...

But I suggest we should raise our voices at least on this platform (VJ) and I may help all our nation whenever some higher US Official will go through our blog...

That's better instead of sitting idol and feeling shy to talk abut our sufferings and pain...

Thanking u all for having great time here and doing your PhDs in AP...LOL :dancing:

It was taking so many years for my husband to get here that people told me I was throwing my life away and that I should divorce him. I ignored them. I married my husband to spend the rest of my life with him.

I am a black American and I really don't believe that people are put in AP because of the color of the Petitioner. As I said before if the CO gets a feeling that something is not right during the interview they will put the case in AP. They can keep a loving couple apart for years based on a feeling without proof. I used to be angry with the embassy staff but over time I learned to forgive them for being mean and stupid. I started praying for their health and happiness. That made the anger go away.

If you are fighting with your loved one it is time to take a break from the visa process. Take 2 weeks and talk about fun things. There are other things going on in your life besides the visa process.

When I said if you are fighting with your loved one I was talking to all VJ members. My husband and I used to fight sometimes and we would take a 2 week break from talking about the visa. It worked for us and made us nicer to each other.

i am a clear cut victim of this f----- AP s---t spending 9th year in processing the longest of known VJ's without any justification ..and guess what today is my wedding anniversary...hvnt been with family past 2 years ...so sick of this AP ...US immigration system is intentionally broken to have carp in action...i m doing my professional job here in DUBAI..US embassy tends to break me up so that we end up in seperation or family just couldnt unite ..but they have no idea how strong is the bond of our relation here...i am about to file a law suit against USCIS n DOS..enough is enough...and plz VJ's dont ask me "whats my story" i am also sick of telling my story over n over again..i have seen criminally convicts heading back to the USA on an IV within 4 years max time....i have dozens of immigration case histories in hand who were adjudicated within a max of 4 years time all were either US deportees or convicts.u may check my past posts...and guess what people like modi who was banned to enter US now will be welcomed to the US cuz US has interest in him and will adjudicated plus clear off of any past visa bans...same goes with Nawaz shareef / Zardari or any other politician they all have in prison histories why they are easily flying to and from US? truly the DOS--USCIS are just being unlawfull and violating intentionally the US constitution rights............

I would say one thing.

It is said, KISI MAZLOOM KI AAH NAHEE LENI CHAHIYAY. It is somewhat vaguely translated as dont hurt anyone.

So even if oppressors are oppressing, Allah is dealing with them but unfortunately many people are unaware of it. Do you all think that those who are uselessly making us suffer would be sleeping peacefully at night? I dont think so.

At the time of interview, CO took 2 time outs and she went to get some info. Means she was not sure and some other persons were also there to help her. I personally feel that at the US Embassy, all the visas given after cases are put into AP, are in such a way that Embassy Staff sit together and discuss the person in detail. But Allah knows best.

Just like you all, I faced tough circumstances at my workplace because I was not given key assignments, not given promotions because they all say, YOU WOULD GO TO THE US.

Its just frustration and frustration.

Talking of key assignments and tarveling to US cross branch office ..had to leave my last job cuz i was not fullfilling thier traveling requirments and still having similar scenarios to dealt cuz of AP had to change 2 jobs so far....

Alhamdolilah ..... Visa Issued today ...

Its been a long journey for me and my spouse. I joined this forum when there was visa tracker part 1 i was mostly a silent member. I never thought it be delayed so much that there would be part 3 of this thread by the time I get out of AP. (I was in AP for about 2 n half years)

Here are some facts for fingerprints and oath. There were about 10 others like me for it. we all were selected around mid December for it. they took a break from this procedure and they are now restarting in year 2015.

For those still waiting for a call for medical submission. I would say email the embassy, contact your senator or congressman for help and hope for the best and for those already scheduled for fingerprints and oath, Best of Luck :)
