Man, I have been roaming around the site to see other posts related to Pakistan, there people who have applied way after me and have got their visas, one person got their CR1 visa within 7 months of the whole process based on their timeline.

This is so not fair, I am almost starting to think some people get discriminated over others. There are people with far more complicated cases who get their visas on time with no hassles

*sigh*

I agree with you Sarahch that the embassy personal pick and choose who they are goimg to mess with. The CO can decide based on a gut feeling that the Beneficiary is just after a visa and place the case in AP for further investigation.

Assalam-O-Alaikum to all AP "INFECTED" family.........

I used to be a silent reader of this forum for last 2 years....

I have a question.. if some one here applied for "writ of mandamus" ???????

as i am in AP for last 3 years and 4 months........

As like most of you guys my interview was good and CO also congrats me .........but

3 years 4 months in AP ....no additional documents ever asked......no objection......no issue, this was an arranged marriage

and the result of every thing fair that i am in AP for 3 years 4 months:)

First year of AP embassy used to reply my emails ....as i dont send them emails often

but for since 2014 they dont even bother to reply our emails.

last update was 7 November 2014.......

my prayers with you all of you!!!!!!!!! and remember me as well!!!!

Carolyn filed one.

Have you contacted your senator or state representative? You can file a WOM, but you are only guarenteed an answer, not necessarily one in your favor. Congressman have much better response rate from the embassy.

I wish I had a better answer for you 3+ years in AP is ridiculous.

:clock: Our case updated yesterday after 2 months & my email...seems like they only update after an email, when in AP.

Your case will update anytime someone at the embassy opens your case. So anytime you email them it will update. We were in the same situation as you months with no movement and it would only update when we emailed the embassy. When you start seeing a series of updates, that is when the embassy is working on your case.

Thank you Natasha...I hope yours comes to an end soon too. AP is a horrendous process that tests the commitment of a couple to its furthest limits.

Sometimes I look over at him and I feel like its a dream I haven't woken up from.

AoA everyone!

Is anyone in this thread a green card holder that applied for spouse on a F2A visa? How long have you been in AP OR were you in AP?

Waiting for VISA 5 years

Hubby in AP FOR 25 months!

when is your priority date? Is it current?

i tried calling twice to NVC and dropped off with a long hold of up to 30 minutes...they should really improve call lines...

I tried calling today as well, it kept telling me to call back because all the lines were busy. I dont even know why I bother calling. NVC never gives you a proper reply.

I filed a Writ of Mandamus because in Michigan I was able to act as my own attorney and I saved thousands of dollars doing it myself. The embassy finished my case before we ever went to court.

I know a couple where the husband was from Pakistan and he was in AP 4 years then finally got his visa. Believe it or not people have been in AP longer than you. You have to be very careful when you file a Writ of Mandamus. It will force the embassy to finish your case but it can't make them give you a visa! If they are not done with security checks or if they think you married just to get a visa you will get denied.
