I wanted to give you guys a quick update on my husband. He has been here almost a year. He had a part-time job and went to school full time to be a truck driver. He graduated from truck driving school. He is having trouble passing the driving test to get his license. The weather is very bad now with snow and ice if you make one mistake you fail the whole test. His name is Ahmed and he needs your prayers. Getting the visa is only the first step to starting a new life. Like most Pakistani men he wants to support me and send money home to his family. Truck driving will allow him to do that so please pray for him and those getting visas to have a great life in America.

In this thread there is so much to pray for. We must pray for ourselves, the embassy staff and each other. We watch people who are not from Pakistan get their visas in record time. That used to hurt me so badly. Yet the waiting I did made my relationship with God grow each day. Even though my visa journey is over you guys are my family. I will always be here to offer advice and to pray for you. We may be of different religions but we believe in the same God and I know he hears all our prayers.

Sister carolyn, you are my sister and Ahmed is my Pakistani brother. In Sha Allah he would be successful in the US as we know competition is tough there but with support from a loving person like you he would always cross the hurdles.

You are always in my prayers and I am sure Allah SWT would bless you because you are very good person. Please dont forget to pray for me please.

no reply back at all.even on submitted online inquiries...AP continues....its Friday and i prayed a lot lets see if God listens to prayers and do the needfull for all of us on unnecassary or illegal hold up. by the way Obama is giving out PR's to lot of Haitians without any AP..but they are simply not ready to bring in educated and legally processed beneficiaries whos families are suffering hardship in the US

No updates :( called yesterday lady told me the same AP .... Strange thing is that she asked me if I (the petitioner) was requested to go to Pakistan for the interview and I said no they didn't and asked her why? and she said oh just asking...so then I kind of played dumb just to see what she says and asked her what does AP mean because I don't know anything about that, so she said AP is when they request additional documents and such and need to review it... So I told her they didn't request any documents during the interview and was only issued a 221g to my husband. So she said that I should email the embassy :( I don't feel like emailing them, gets me so angry they are just going to tell me the same #######, AP!

I suggest you to email the embassy right away, maybe they might have requested some kind of document. And similar thing happened with me. When I called NVC to check the status on my wife AP. NVC representative asked me after asking me the case number and names etc.. NVC representative asked me that how was ur wife interview. I replied well VO said that interview was good nothing to worry about. We have to put case in admin processing to get clearance from washington DC. It made me think that why NVC representative would ask him that how was the interview since there was nothing wrong and no additional documents were required. Then I asked NVC representative that is everything ok? Any problem. . I tried so hard thay I can get any answer from the representative. But representative said your case is still in Ap. And no additional documents required. You just wait AP to be over and you will be contacted by embassy.

Carolyn,

you are a strong couple, you and your husband had a long fight for the visa and at the end you guys won :) you people showed strength. I know its not easy for him to pass the driving test but I am sure he will make it through with your support :)

We ALL pray for your husband that he gets his driving license.

I also pray a lot for ebass as they are in a long AP and they don't post on visa journey anymore. I request everyone that we all should pray for them too to get out of the hard time they are going through. May GOD have mercy on all of us aameen.

*sigh*

It sucks no one has anything positive to report but inshaAllah soon, we will all have good news to give, I hardly check the ceac, its frustrating, I stopped calling NVC since a month, there same standard reply makes me sick. My husbands medical is valid for 2 more months, I hope to God it gets issued before that, even if he only has a week to get here after its issued, I just wanted to be issued, Does anyone know if most visas get issued before the medical expires?

They have to issue the visa while the medical is still valid. If the medical expires they will request a new one.

Sometimes I think the people who work ay the embassy think we are all rich. Medicals are expensive yet some people have done 2 or 3 of them and are still waiting for their visa.

Our medical will expire in 2 and half months. So if visa is not issued in 2 months from now.. so basically by the time embassy request for new medical.. more time will be wasted. Then here comes i864 because tax season is here. They will also ask to submit new i864 and federal tax paper. More time will be wasted. When you r down . U tend to think negative. So m mentally prepared that visa will not be issued in next 6 months or more.
