I am having similar scenario but now changed .back to AP after sending an inquiry...As per my understanding..this is an auto status change, reasoning AP completed or current docs like medical, photos, ds230/260 expiry.. which needs to be resubmitted before the visa is issued. I could be wrong as this just an assumption. Best way is to send an inquiry to the US embassy and ask them whats going on and if they require any additional or fresh docs...

Last 3 to 4 months i have active in contacting the nvc and consulate and from nvc everytime i am getting the same answer that your case is completed there is mo additional anything needed. There are just waiting for priority date to become current and they will issue the visa. This month i emailed embassy and they replied me. Usually they used to reply me with standard AP EMAIL. Now the last email they just did was your priority date is not current please check your priority date on visa bulletin. So i am assuming that hope AP is completed and nvc is right what they are saying. FINGERS CROSSED

When I had that status EXPIRING SOON I got severely panicked. My wife started crying and got angry as well as she said that you didnt pursue the case properly that is why everything has gone in vain.

I tried to explain to her that I did whatever I was supposed to, I sent everything to the US Embassy but my wife thinks that US Embassy has angels (this is because all americans think very high of their fellow americans at the US Embassy) working there who wont bother anyone without valid reason.

Then I sent email and a written explaination to the US Embassy and also called NVC and then the case status went back to Administrative Processing.

I honestly dont know when this nightmare would be over. I am feeling like I am a dead body with no happiness, no hopes, no energy and dying slowly. Even with a life threatening medical condition, my life has no happiness at all. My wife is not smiling at all and is always so sad and depressed. We had plans to enjoy our lives had everything went smoothly and within normal course of time. But dont know why our case is taking so much time. My passport is with the Consular Section and has expired in June 2014. Despite sending them emails 4 times, I have not received it back to renew it so that whenever I get a visa its on a valid passport. Dont know what is going to happen with me.

I pray to Allah and request all of you my brothers and sister to make Dua for me so things get straighten for me. I make dua for all of you that Allah SWT make things easier for you all and also myself so that we all can be with our spouses as soon as possible.

Is your wife working with a Senator or Congressman. They can send an email to the embassy asking that your passport be returned. The embassy might respond to him or her.

I m not seeing in F4 case here in AP. Is there any F4 case waiting from 4 years for visa. I know F4 also go in 4 years AP but mostly what i m seeing here is all marriage based petitions.

I think marriage based petitions are mostly going in AP.
