Has anyone received a visa with passport expiring in 1-2 months? The embassy has recently asked for fresh medical, DS260 and pictures to be submitted which we've already taken care off and now waiting on them. The issue is that the embassy has been sitting on our case for so long that passport is about to expire in December, 2016. Will they ask to renew passport as well at this point even if they're ready otherwise to issue visa or will they allow the beneficiary to travel with passport expiring in 1-2 months? Please share experiences...

My husband was issued a visa that was only good for 30 days because his medical was about to expire but he had years left to go on his passport. I would email the embassy and ask for your passport back. Get a passport that is not expiring as soon as possible then send it back to the embassy with a letter giving your name and case number.

You can check into this to be sure but I believe you need a passport that is valid for 6 months in order to get on a plane. I am not sure of this but you can make some calls and find out for sure.

I have applied for a B1 B2 visa and have been cursed with "administrative processing" .

Interview date 16 June 2016.

Last check status 02 October 2016.Status: Administrative processing.

I previously had a visa and went to the US in 2006 and then in 2009.

In 2006 when I was issued a US visa I was put in Administrative processing then also and had to wait 8 months.

what do you all think How long will I have to wait now?, will it be issued or revoked?

No one call tell you if your visa will be issued or revoked only the embassy knows that. The last time you traveled to the USA was 7 years ago. Your AP could be short or long nobody knows that either. Because you traveled 2 times and returned to Pakistan your chances of getting a visa are good as long as you can show that you still have good reasons to return to Pakistan.

35 days on AP since 30 August....status says Ready for interview bla bla...no change to administrative processing and last status update on 09/09

I had a update too on 9th oct.its was sunday when they work on our case. My case creation date in 23 june 2015 .what is ur date and why ur case is pending, i am checking my case and one another case number one with same case creation date and interview.our both case and urs too update same dates.i think they worked on that cases which is pending from more then 6,7 month cos of some reason. Cos i remmber before mine interview a family was interviewd and concoular officer paakistani told them to send joint sponsor.and by chance my inter went same window same man .he also said to me u need new joint sponsor,which i am still looking.so i am also checking there case .mine and there case update 9th oct which in unusual plus tht day was sunday.what i bleave which case are near to expire they checked them ,if any update made or stil pending for tht reason hich they giv u 221g.so i bleave mine and other case is going t expire 16 feb. thts why thy made update to check somthing,i know u .u are raza rafiq friend who is from abbtaabd.he told me about u.kindly also update me .thanks

Yea it was Sunday, my case creation date is 23rd March.

my case is an Asylum Case its I-730 Petition.

i had my interview on 1st June and i was approved.

the CO told me i would get my passport with the Visa by the End Of July.

its quite a long time now and i am hoping for a good news very soon.

Hey guys, wife was denied and given a 221g with 2 missing documents. She has mailed them today. They even took her passport at interview. Should I take that as a good sign? That after 2 weeks all will be OK?

It may take more than 2 weeks for them to issue her a visa. It depends on how fast they review the documents and if there are no other problems.

Yes i am looking ceac status its not update yet.i sent joint sponsor 2 weeks ago.but embassy did not review yet.interview was 16 feb 2016.

Ohh your interview was 9 months ago. Well I think it will take some time to review files, since technical you and I are in similar situation. They should have provided email address to inquire about the case. You can email them or wait another few weeks before contacting.

My wife's interview was on December 13 , 2016 but we mailed the documents on December 14, 2016.

What documents did they want from you or what else was checked, for example only original marriage certificate and W2 was checked on ours.
