And About status thing, it says AP, and I think we get only UPDTAES, status will change once its all done,(from AP to ISSUED) correct me if I am missing something in between

I am going to request my passport back , I am planing to travel. how long will it take the embassy to send it?

Sometimes they send the passport back right away and other times it takes an email from a congressman to get it.

im also K1 visa ,,now my AP is started 6 months im expecting more then 3 years ,, becoz 6 oct my case was update due to my fiancee sent email ,

what you think can we apply for married visa?? my fiancee want to visit to pakistan .. but i make her stop due to current sutitution of pakistan

I would wait. We turned our docs in on 11/4 and got an update on 11/13 which is likely when they received our docs. My fiance then got a call today for a fingerprinting appointment next week. We were planning on giving the embassy 2 weeks max to respond to our docs and if they hadn't then i would've emailed or called.

That is another long process. If they know that AP will take long time than they must return the passport. we have life to do.

I heard that if the case is near its completion. most they speed the process and send the passport with visa. any idea about this?

Your AP may not last 3 years. No one knows how long their AP will last. If you get married and apply for a marriage visa you both will have to start all over with a new I-130 petition and have to pay the fees(money) all over again. In my opinion it is better to wait on the K1.

The situation in Pakistan was bad 6 years ago when I came to Pakistan for the first time to meet my husband and it is still bad now. When do you think it will get better? Let your fiancee come and visit you if she wants.

The embassy is supposed to return the passport when you ask for it but sometimes they are very slow to do it and you must send more than 1 email to get it.

I have never heard that asking for the passport back speeds up the process when a case is near completion. When the embassy decides to issue a visa the case will move very quickly if they have the passport or not.

I agree with carolyn. From what i read you just have to start process again so its just going to be a long wait all over again. Just wait. I would say just have your fiance visit. I've visited lahore within past few years and it was just fine then. Not sure if you live in karachi but pakistan is the same all the time to me.

For all the people getting call for fingerprints, what is the usual time embassy is asking u to come to the embassy. Is it same early morning 8 etc or later in the day?

Hi i have a question i got married in pakistan in 2012 it was just nikah after 2 yrs of my marriage i came in usa my husband also from pak but he was a usa citizen.he sposered me that time ..but when i came to usa that family and my husband were fraud.i spend 3 months with him in usa after 3 months i go back in pak and spend 5 months in pak and come back in usa after 5 months.and my husband filled divorce that was final is july 2015 i got 10 yrs green card through that marriage my first marriage was not fake it was real marriage.. And my green card 1 yrs and i have 4 yrs left for my citizenship.so my question is can i sponser my new husband through green card which i got through previuos marriage..

They called me for 10 am than i wait till to 12 pm usually fingerprints start at 12 pm.
