Hello everyone,

My wife was asked to submit her medical and fill out DS-160 and submit two passport size photographs. This was around the beginning of the month. Around the 13th of the month, she got a call to schedule her to come in for fingerprints and oath. The officer asked her to bring her passport (If you remember we asked for it back to travel to UAE which we did and boy was it a blast).

On the 20th (today), she went for her fingerprints and oath, the officer kept her passport and told her she has been approved and that she should be getting the visa in about a couple of weeks. Alhamdulillah we are finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Stay strong everyone.

On a side note: she did mention that during her 1.5 hours there, she saw almost all young folks get rejected. It was depressing she told me. The only ones getting approved were older folks, parents, medical need folks, etc. All the younger ones were getting the green 221g slip.

My prayers are with everyone. Allah knows how much this tests one's relationship. Patience truly bears sweet fruit. Never give up and always have faith that God will make it better. As they say in our language "Uskay ghar dayr hai andhair nahin".

Thanks Carolyn. My fiance and I are super excited. I wish others get to experience this joy and excitement as well. It truly is a wonderful feeling! I thank everyone for their prayers and my prayers go out to others who are still lingering in the dark hole that is AP.

It does mean that your AP is ending. They are about to make a final decision on if you will get your visa. You should hear from the embassy soon.
