I received it today.

It is good that you are getting so many updates. They may be getting ready to return your passport but I am not sure. I would ask for it again if you don't get it in a few days.

Congratulations on getting you passport back with only one email. Sometimes they make it very difficult to get it back. They may continue to work on your case so check for updates.

Wow, I guess I will let go of that idea that just because I am a U.S. citizen, i hold any special consideration, The least that can help is to have administrative processing have a limit, like lets say a maximum a year no more then that, why are people who applied in 2011 2012 2013 2014 still waiting for visas and they are in the spouse categories. With USCIS atleast they give you a timeframe on when your application will be improved, background checks are done there too, but they do it in a timely manner, once it gets to the embassy level, its all luck after that to get it done.

No matter how you look at it, the immigration system is broken in this country where illegals are given priority over people who are doing this process from the start in a legal way.

I am so done after this whole experience, never want to see or hear about an embassy/uscis or immig

Your frustration is understandable. In my opinion, when issuing these visa's, they weigh your husband's desire to immigrate to the US against the national interest of the country; that is why it is called "homeland security", which is why you cannot put a time limit to it. If it makes you feel any better, our case has been in process since 2012. Hopefully your husband's visa process will be over soon and his visa application will be adjudicated in his favor!

Yesterday I email to embassy to know the status of my case today I got the reply as below

Our record indicates that your visa application in the subject immigrant visa case is still pending under administrative processing. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to predict how long this processing may take. The wait could possibly be quite lengthy. However, please rest assured that as soon as this processing is finished, we will contact the applicant using the contact information he/she has provided on his/her application. Thank you for your kind understanding.

Sincerely,

IR-5 in AP after interviews. All documents complete according to interviewing officer (needed Resume that was provided). More than a month since since last contact by embassy. Any IR-5 in similar situation?

AP is a black hole , it depends on their workload and when they get to review it. no time frame but to wait.

Salam to All VJ friends its been about four months since I last posted. I was on a trip to Pakistan to spend time with my husband. Alhumdillah we had a great time togathr I was stress free and away from AP worries. I performed Umrah with him and it was a life experience for both of us. I am back home without him. Through out these months we had no updates from embassy except when I emailed them. It is quit sad. I however did find out that embassy of Islamabad often can not do much individuals like myself who have been in Ap for over 2.5 years our cases are not at the embasssy their in Washington for back ground checks, embassy really cant do much thats the main reason we dont get updates. Lets pray to get out of this dark hole soon. In my neighborhood three long AP visas were issued. One was about 3.5 years and the other one was 3 years and 8 months.

wsalaam!

How lucky and refreshing to be reunited with ur spouse, glad u had a wonderful time and got to do Umrah together. I dont think all cases are in washington, I think some are at the embassy too and it is the CO who takes long time to work on a file. Washington tries to move quickly as much as it can with background checks.
