:help:

I'm getting ready to fill out I-864 for my mom, but I have no income. I haven't worked since June 2006 when we moved here to Germany (due to military orders). I'm currently in school finishing (7) courses to sit for the CPA exam. My husband will sponsor my mom, my questions are:

1. Who fills out the I-864, me or him? I'm thinking I should fill it out, but I'm not *too* sure :(

2. If I fill out the I-864, obviously my (lack of) income is not enough, does my husband then fill out I-864A?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I think whom ever does the petition is the one to fill out the support of affidavit, but if you don't make enough then yes your husband can co sponsor your mom.

I think you fill out I-864, and your husband I-864A. You can ask these questions from NVC. They'll have a more precise answer. The number is 663-334-0700 if I remember it correctly. If not, you can probably find the number on their website.

Good luck
