haha My profession is Database Administrator.... and I still panicked. I know how much trouble it can be to sync databases, that's why I haven't complained about the new system and not being able to log in. But today.... sheer panic when I saw that text. We still have so much to do and things to get ready for. We were counting on the normal 5-6 months wait time :)

Lol! Sorry! I only know a tiny fraction of what you know then!

We are exactly the same way. I hate the difference in processing times because it's unfair, but we wouldn't be at all prepared if noa2 came so soon.

The 5 month mark only applies to CSC though right now. I don't think they will do anything until the processing date passes your noa1 date. A lot of people seem to have luck enlisting their congressman or senator so do that too when you begin calling.

Like most everyone today.. I got the email. Most annoyingly though when I log onto the website it shows it was last touched on December 9th instead of October. My heart was pounding when I opened the email and was so crushed afterwards..

Since we all had slight panic attacks this afternoon... I'd thought I'd share a funny (maybe not so funny) story about our government agencies.

Since my fiance and I drive across the Canadian/US border, we didn't have any passport stamps or airline tickets, etc to include with our K-1. So we both decided, to be safe, we'd request our border crossing histories to include in it. In the first week of September, my fiance and I both requested ours. He received his from Canadian Border Protection Services in less than 2 weeks. A nice easy to read little report. I still have.... nothing.

first week of September - I sent my FOIA request to US Customs and Border Protection for my border crossing history

30 Sept 2014 - I get a 6 page letter from US Customs and Border Protection saying my request was being processed... blah blah blah....

09 Oct 2014 - I get a letter stating that my request was forwarded to USCIS because US Customs and Border Protection does not handle Border Crossing Histories

16 Oct 2014 - I get a letter from USCIS asking me to send them another letter stating I'm requesting information about myself and not another. Have to add a perjury statement.... blah blah blah

17 Oct 2014 - I sent the perjury statement letter to USCIS as requested.

4 Nov 2014 - I get a letter from USCIS saying my request was forwarded to US Customs and Border Protection because USCIS does not handle Border Crossing Histories

BACK TO WHERE I STARTED!!! haha... it's really not funny... but how can you NOT laugh at this? sheesh.

Our lawyer said he'd help us with calling or doing an info pass appt. I appreciate that but I'm still holding out some hope haha. Anything is possible :P besides 5 months is goal for TSC andddd CSC. Doesn't mean it always happens but remember the data posted? More than 75% have noa2 at 5 months. So it's totally possible. Just 100% at 6 months.

5 months is the goal, but it's not what TSC is currently processing. They are currently at about 6 months. I do think 5 months is more than reasonable and I remember the data, but from what I understand from other people's stories, uscis isn't likely to help you or give you any information until their processing date is after your noa1.

I am buckled in for a long, bumpy ride and I don't want to count on having good luck and getting noa2 towards the beginning of the pack. Plus were fine the way we are. I'd rather you get approved first because a fast approval means more to you. If we got some miracle approval before people who filed much earlier than us, I think I would feel guilty about it.

Of course! And thank you! :) considering that a good 75% can get it at 5 months currently, then that means it happens! Either way- we're praying that it comes. Info pass appts can do SOMETHING but not necessarily speed anything up. So we'll see. We aren't going to be just calling their hotline because that would do nothing hahah. But we're going to try anything we can, because he is literally a groomsmen in my sisters wedding! So we definitely pray that it will come in March.. Even if it's just late March (which thank goodness were early oct filers because some recent people got their noa2 like a week before the 6 month mark), so that way we'll have some time!

And hey- they could transfer at any point, too! That would be great lolll ?

I can for some reason NEVER post this website on here! USCIS website didn't really give info about it; just on how to do it. this site gives you an idea. :)

Seriously, VJ? I can't post the link to the website or even write the name! Ridiculous! https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=USCIS+info+pass+appointment Maybe that will work! Click on the third link.
