Thank you, Camillasofie!

My lawyer is doing it all so far and from what he told my fiancé I was supposed to send my long form birth certificate to him to send in a packet to nvc and they forward it to the consul? Now im confused as I shipped the birth certificate to the us for my lawyer...he said he needed it for a package. And that package will go to the consulate when I get my interview. Now im confused!

Maybe it's different from the embassy I'm going to. :/ I wish it was the same at all embassies..

But those lawyers seem to be making it more confusing! I'm happy we did everything ourselves..

It's the application for the visa to the embassy so it has to be your fiance's, but they should fill it out themselves, preferably. But you can fill it out as well.

I've followed everything in both groups for months. It's hard to remember everything when your only focus is on where you are at that very step of the process. I'm sure I've asked things other people have asked, but I am asking because I need help. I don't want to miss a beat. After 10 months I want to be with the person I love without any more delays. Surely you can overlook any redundancy of questions, and understand we just want to be sure of our actions.

Of course, but that's why I said to join that thread, since now you're at that stage. That's why that thread was created, and it's not as long as this one, so it's easier to go back and see what others have been doing at the same stage you're currently in. When people ask the same question all at once, it's like mass chaos, lol. I've been in the threads tracking the DOS issue with printing visas, and people would literally spam pages asking the same questions that others had asked on a previous page. Obviously not the case here, but when info is out there on VJ, it's good to be able to see if the answer is somewhere else first. Not that you can't ever ask questions! That's why they tell people to check threads before they make a thread on an existing topic :)
