My fiance called USCIS today (we are at 7.5 months or 230 days now). Whoever he talked to was their usual unhelpful/ not knowing anything self. He says they flat out refused to answer his questions and kept telling him to call back in a month. Which is the bogus answer he got a month ago. Oh well.

I tell myself we should hear something by the end of the schoolyear. that way I can pretend to be counting down to the end of the school year, rather than counting up the days since NOA1 :-P

So less than 2 weeks without a cancellation, Allie? How exciting! It is so nice to see progress. I hope you do manage to get a sooner day though.

April, my birth certificate doesn't have their birthdays on it. But we didn't send mine regardless, only Larry's, since he is the petitioner. It will be an easy one if we get it, I just really want to avoid the delay. I like to believe that we have all waited long enough. Lol. How are things with you and Daniel's process going? You must be getting close as well.

October 21 here still waiting...very despondent...however today there was a glimmer of hope. Someone else mentioned in the thread contacting your representatives. Well, two nights ago at 11:30, I composed my best letter to my two senators and one representative. Heck, I even emailed it to the White House for good measure. From each I received a privacy notice which I needed to authorize. My state senator's office contacted me WITHIN ONE HOUR of receiving my authorization. They said our case was currently being reviewed and we should have an answer in less than a week. I spoke with her associate directly on the phone because my fiance is deaf, and I wanted to know if he will have access to a certified interpreter at the embassy. She called the NVC. They didn't know, but she's already put in a call to the embassy in Accra. They were closed because of the time difference, but I'm over the moon that SOMEONE is helping us! We've waited SO SO long!!!

I hope we see a lot of approvals this week. TSC Fairy is tracking every day. It's an awesome service.

Ah, sorry. I wasn't thinking about which one of you might be the petitioner. You have alllll waited long enough. Too long, actually.

We're still waiting for the petition to arrive at the NVC. It was only sent out last Thursday so we haven't really made any progress yet. It's ok though. I'm so thankful to be out of TSC. I hope you all like today, or yesterday, actually.

Join me!

Yeah, I´m a teacher. I do pre-K and go in as a support teacher for kids with first languages other than our main language. The hope is that by the time they enter first grade they know enoguh to be able to follow regular instruction.

July 10 for us :-)

While I love my job and my kids and am happy to finish out the school year (wouldnt have left before it ended anyways), I would be even happier, if we got out of TSC :-D

I wonder of TSC or USCIS as a whole realize, how many phone calls and angry people they could prevent, if they provided the simplest of transparencies. There is no way I believe, that they dont scan our documents before and after background checks or putting them on an adjudicators table. They have to have some kind of system. Considering how much pride they seem to take in their customer service, they might want to think about that... :-P (But yeah, they wont)
