So, I was going through the packet that we sent off 7 long months ago. Obsessing once again over anything missed, etc. It was then that I noticed a mistake that made me fall into an epic meltdown/breakdown. I marked my mothers (beneficiary's mother) monthof birth wrong on the G325 form. My dads and my birthdays are both in November, hers in October. So you know, 10/11, easy typo. I already had little information in there about her to begin with. Now I'm in absolute panic mode that this will cause an RFE. Is this something they will just realize is a typo? Do you think they will RFE over it? I've seen 4 of the 15 applications around mine be approved in the past week, so I know it's getting close. My file might be on someones desk, not stopping their chair from jiggling around, so I'm starting to obsess even harder.

Help! Put my mind at ease. Something!

Only know that others are waiting with you. I don't even have copies of the forms I sent, as I couldn't get to a working copier then. I worry my fiance's document wasn't clear enough. We were trying to scan and take pics, etc. Our documents were received Oct 21. I've been in freak-out mode for a while now. As we watch May become June, it's absolutely devastating.

Well hopefully this is our week. My fingers are sure crossed. Though I feel as though I have been saying that for far too many weeks. It doesn't feel like there can too many of us left here in October.

Also, does anyone know if once (if we ever) get to the NVC stage if the beneficiary can call them, or does it have to be the petitioner like calling USCIS? My schedule will allow for hours worth of calling every day, my fiances won't.

And than a light appeared at the end of a 218 day tunnel. In other words APPROVED. Not even an RFE.

Congrats!

Beneficiary can absolutely call. They can call via skype for free. But there's only an English and Spanish option. I had Santy call several times, and for anyone who speaks fluent Spanish, I notice the Spanish operators can sometimes be nicer. :)

Hoping October finishes this week!

Well, I don't speak Spanish unfortunately, so I guess I may get someone rude. Lol. It's a relief to know that I will be able to call. I was a little stressed that we would never get through because of our schedules. Now I just need that NOA2 notification...

Any idea when you guys get your interview, Allie? You must be beyond excited.

They aren't alwayssss rude, so you have a 50/50 chance of getting someone nice, LOL! It just totally depends on who answers and how they're feeling, hahah! But I'm sure you'll be fine! :) Luckily their hours are pretty long (7am-12am ET is a pretty good duration), so hopefully you'll be able to call them without any problems!

We've had an interview planned for June 15th, but they told us to just keep calling in case they get a cancellation so we can go beforehand. :( June 15th is so late for us because we wanted to be able to go to Mexico for our honeymoon in Sept, and we'll need the AP before then. They told us there are normally cancellations, but apparently this is a hot (ha ha) time for tourist visas, so we're just praying that someone cancels this week! I can't even be excited yet because I'm just stressed out, waiting for the call that we can get in earlier, you know? I think I'll be finally excited when he's approved, LOL.

They may not notice. The only way they would is if your birth certificate has your mom's bday and they notice it's different. I can't remember if they do or not, but I guess they probably do? Either way, if you do get an RFE, it will be a really quick fix. Just fix the date and print and sign a new copy and send it off. That should be reassuring.

Ah, I keep seeing that same RFE a lot lately. Did you both send in a letter of intent? Print out and sign new copies and that should do the trick.
